Im gonna clean up the few outta control errors (Like the entire world and every object in it catching on fire) and then just release it as is in the next couple weeks for people to mess around with. Totally unpolished but its pretty fun and ill be outsourcing support from India

Finally gettin back on this old jawnie 2nd Video (sorry no captions because....low budget) Showscasing how Decapitations/Blowed Up Friends/ and Killing Team Leader May make AI panic based off many factors. High skill units are immune and you as Players can try and Rally (dice throw/skill) your troops back to action. Hope I included all the credits to used mods in description if not hit me up

Iron Front in Arm3 LITE - preview versions

Alas, bit pointed but you might be right. I may have been focused to heavily on getting females to really admire my gamesmanship and abilities of PC gaming to much disappointment so perhaps ive been focused on the wrong areas to better fuffill my life. Old Sean Connery war movies is revelation! Now if only I can dig out and re-circuitboard up my old Betamax player maybe Grumpy Old Man still has a copy of that movie round some where he can lend a brother.. -

Back OT: I notice the Russian Solder AT squads dont have a single bazookaman among them -is this intentional? Their German counterparts share the Grendadiers with Bazookamen respectively Seems to put the Reds at a distinct advantage. I mean, why send in all you men to rout out a Kraut sniper when allsyouneed is a BazookaMan? -

[Looking for ideas] Tank combat improvement project
froggyluv replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
doSuppressiveFire is far more responsive than the Suppress command from the drop down menu. Im not sure if maybe the latter times out too quickly and then they choose to just stop but it feels all too underwhelming. I use the doSuppressiveFire pretty liberally in my own AI mod and it really juices up the environment with alot more heavy firing including getting AT soldiers to fire RPGs at almost anything, tanks to decimate houses etc.. -

Love the whole Desert Rats/N.Africa stuff coming - riveting warfare. Are there going to be American Tank Destroyers in this pack? As far as what id love to see added if your taking requests is of course -realistic Tank engagements, variety of animations, and maybe a detailed battle report of Armor damage/hits as well as varying particle effects to different damage types. Edit: Woops confused this with the Tank Combat Idea thread -
Some nice variety there- the only thing i would ask is it possible to just remove the twitch entirely? The twitch is one of the worst decisions ive ever seen put into a game -now maybe had BI added a different animation like shocked/staggered etc alongside it, but they way they do it, its as if your merely annoying the soldier

What might help would be to have Models (Buildings) with really well thought out positions for them rather than "some windows/ middle of the Stairs/1 on Rooftops". Many times these things seem random and as if the model creators werent thinking about how AI might fight/Clear/Maneuver/Defend in one of these buildings. I know for me personally when I heard the SP would be getting their DLC that was one of the first things I thought we'd be getting -maybe a really well built up town with objects firmly focuses on playing with AI..but Alas..... The other point of getting the AI to move in straight lines could definitely get some love and would really help mod makers get AI to where they need them to go with the proper orientation in a jiffy. Some of this has been helped and is somewhat doable with the various DisableAI "AutoCombat" etc type commands but we could always use more.

Think ive seen your Helo suggestion in just about every mod's threads now and dont mean to be a dick but you might just wanna learn to do it yourself. Trust me, Im the worst modder/coder out there but i got so frustrated with implemeting AI skills in what i think is the proper way that i just finally learned to create it myself. Its way better than waiting around for something that may/probably will never manifest

I agree with Chris B - my nicer system crashed by my toddler bull rushing it so i had to use my backup parts and went back from an SSD to an old spinny HD and honestly i just dont notice a difference. Crashed System: 500gb SSD Win 10 Some Elite ROG Asus MOBO 16 Gigs 3200 DDR4 i5 6600k OC'ed 4.5 1060 6gb Salvaged System: 500Gb Standard HD Win 10 Some Crappy Micro ATx Asus mobo 8 Gigs 1600 DDR3 i5 4690 Oc'ed 4.5 1060 6gb As its my ROG mobo that crashed, im always tempted to get a new board for the 6600 mostly so I can go back to that RAM -but honestly, in reality i just dont feel a difference with Arma -

So much history here. Takes me back to the days when people here called me a BIS White Knight. Now im a known Hater. Always loyal to the awesome game and premise/promise of the awesome military sandbox that while much of it delivered in spades other parts neglected to the point of willful neglect and abandonment. Great seeing how much BI did try and create a fully dynamic destruction game in Game 2 but it just simply wasnt possible at that time. Pretty sure I remember a BI Dev stating -"We need 15 years to deliver that game we wanted to make". Well you've got that -we waiting! 😄 Anyone remember the AI playbook Codemasters tried but ultimately failed to deliver for Dragon Rising -man that sounded like the exact thing this type of game needs but alas.. One thing we saw for sure is that competition really improved the product BI delivered and now they've wandered into the mindless horde of Survival open world shooters so the future is not exactly promising for the mil-tac fan. Nevertheless, ill remain chaotic good, mindlessly loyal to BI. *coughs Old Man Scenario!! *coughs -
Fantastic. This kinda testing is just so important - i had no idea different mods had different dispersion for same weapons. That was one of my turnoffs to the game a while back in which low skilled Insurgents using AK's were completely dominating high skilled spec ops (5.56). Really giving no reason not to arm everyone with 7.62 arms which was kinda depressing

Demo disc of Computer Gaming World. Had that same revelation moment as when I seen Doom - moving and shooting in a real 3d world -F Yeah!! When not out clubbing, played it everynite and then moved to the carribbean just when MP and mods were really becoming a thing. We had really bad internet down there and unbelievably a member of this community sent me a disc filled with FFUR, SLX, DoD and the precursor to ACE (forget what it was called) - from Germany..TWICE!! Tried BF and liked certain elements of it and Swat3/4 loved most of it but always came back to OFP. Props to the DeltaForce voxel shout out above

Dynamic Missions on World War 2.

Can a human be a bot? Can a bot be human? How do I make upsidedown questionmarks?? That user name couldnt be any more bot-sounding but yes, im sure there are some dynamic missions for the Iron Front mod -
Nice one! I have a script that also adds skill points to kills and the better the kill ie Crewman killing a Sniper -the better the bonus. Ive been wanting to do a hover over group skill thingie too but never got around to learning it -its a great idea. Willful disparity of skillsets is something thats always been missing from Arma imo -at least since Flashpoint when Spetznatz actually felt badass
