I think they've talked about making them, yes.

    Can't wait to unleash the B U N D E S B O I S
  5. Varying levels of bluing on separate parts on that StG... That has to be the most accurate virtual rendering of a historical firearm I've ever seen. Prima! EDIT: Any chance a sling pulled taut could be added?
  6. I throw shit up against the wall to see what sticks. At the end of the day, I don't produce content and work with what the creators make. If anyone wants to tackle this, I can only offer advice.

Great! I love the attention to detail!
  8. Westwall gives me hope for quality WWII assets in Arma. Now if only we had an animation replacer for something much more appropriate for the time period. Oh well. One can dream. EDIT: Raw footage of the last Deutsche Wochenschau that was never released. Plenty of awesome mannerisms captured in this. Also, this is well after everyone was ordered to do the "German greeting" or Nazi salute. You can see just how half-assed it was. Interviewed is a Polish Soviet soldier. The translator is a Silesian in German service.
  9. Damn, for what's made and detailed, it really captures the look and feel!
  10. I own and have worn an original M43 "Dracula Collar" mantel. Agreed that the collar should be a bit bigger, but I've seen some variation - mostly with the size of the mantel. I can understand this model having it a bit shorter to keep it from clipping with the helmet in most cases. [EDIT] Actually, speaking of which, here is my father and I. Both are original mantel. M36 on the left, M43 on the right. You can see how they lay, how long they are, and having been lightly worn (walking around, etc.) how they have settled into place on the body. The buckles were supposed to be shiny metal underneath. They were painted, but it usually wore off quickly. Even for the Bundeswehr in the 60s-80s, their belts were typically wore clean of paint and they were a peacetime army. In all honesty, you'd see both. Same goes for the buttons. As for the length of the overcoat, that's a correct length. Too long and it's extremely cumbersome. Too short and well, not enough warmth. Put simply, both the mantel with the field gear on top of it and the MG-42 with the AA sight are handsome. Well done, team! Any chance we could get M44 field blouse with a turtleneck sweater? <3
  11. I certainly hope that the Panzerfäuste will not have ridiculous shrapnel values and are more like concentrated charges.

The event was great! I was missing a BFA for my G3 and a gas bag, but otherwise it was fantastic!
  13. Details, details. The modding team will figure it out for the German/French/Whoever-else version. Love to see what's coming next. ;)

I'm actually putting together a '86 Bundeswehr Jäger impression for a local blank-fire / airsoft mixed event in March. It's awesome to see these! I'd love to put some missions together. ;) I'll post pictures of the event here once it's over if anyone is interested.
  15. A typical Panzerschreck team would be: 1 NCO with a MP40 2 AT Gunners with pistol 2 AT ammunition bearers with K98k I do reenacting and I can't ever imagine carrying around a MP40, Panzerschreck, and at least two rockets for it. It's why the ammunition bearer is so important. also the NCO having the MP40 to defend the squad from up close.
  16. That's exactly what I had in my head as well. With how well the helmet chinstraps are done on the helmet models, I have no doubt you can do it! Just will have to see how it works when turning your head, haha. Period correct spectacles and dust goggles would be nice to see. Similar civilian styles of eyeglasses were used by both sides.
  17. With the M43 caps having the "option" of being pulled down, will the toque be added as well as an accessory that won't clip with the uniform collars, helmet chinstraps, and M43 when unfolded? Many props for adding the "jäger pinch" to the tops of the caps. Looks great. Everything else looks proper! Going to see the Hürtgenwald is still on the bucket list. Enjoy!
  18. Will we see M44 and M45 feldblüsen in this mod? Any made of differing color materials, such as Italian wool, late war "brown" wool, and typical Feldgrau? If added, M44 shoulderboards would be a nice touch in addition to the eagle and late-war generic kragenspiegel (collar insignia). Any other late war German kit ideas such as French and Italian mess kits, multi-colored bakelite canteen cups, and webbed gear (although this wasn't necessarily just a late-war thing)? The GI helmets look great! Helmet nets that are torn from being frayed on the tops would be a nice touch. Actually, speaking of helmet nets, I'd love to see the German issue nets as well as chicken-wire and baling wire options. Having the French involved is fantastic! Not represented enough. They were feared by the Germans as being as ruthless as the Russians. With good cause, naturally. Any real historian knows the might of the French people. I have a lot more to ask and say, but I'll keep it at this for now. Needless to say, extremely excited for this mod!
  19. Could we see the SS uniforms be changed from the stone gray to field gray? There was little to no difference of the wool uniforms of the Heer and SS other than insignia. Why is Flecktarn in the game? I like how the Fallschirmjäger have the "Type B" Splinter camouflage (exclusive to Luftwaffe) in some models, but in others have the "Type A" that was Heer only. I know it's not even 100% correct since you're having to use the regular smocks instead of the FJ jump smocks. I don't know a whole lot about SS camouflage compared to other historical reenactors I know, but Erbsentarnmuster or Pea Dot 44 was not made into smocks or helmet covers. I apologize for being so very critical in my first post. I greatly appreciate all the work that has been done and I'm absolutely blown away by the amount of work put into the mod. Keep it up!
