enad 11 Posted August 16, 2010 Actually, I've already made the ACU-textures (using BIS's ACU-textures) so they'll be in the next version. :) Totally awesome!!! Can't wait. This addon keeps getting better and better!!!
therev709 10 Posted August 16, 2010 I'm def lookin forward to acu, and hopefully some multicam :) Any chance we'll see jungle camo, like tigerstripe, or even woodland? Icebraker's lingor map is due out soon . . .

Icebraker's lingor map is due out soon . . . Unfortuntaly, I doubt I'll add any woodland, since most of the regular operators have middle-eastern style clothing. Maybe in the future though, but don't get your hopes up. :) I'm really looking forward to Lingor too by the way.

TBH a mix of Woodland and tan gear would look great in most Afghan styled maps and even Lingor. I wouldnt totally drop woodland out. I think it would look great! :D

I think it would look great! :D Agreed, Special Forces Operators in Afghanistan wearing Woodland: Theres a ton more on the net, but I'm on my lunch break and don't have time to find em lol ;) Although, I also agree some woodland with tan/DCU mix would look perfect in the afghan . . . i mean Takistan terrain ;) Besides, who said Tier 1 only operates in the middle east? I'm sure these black ops types have seen some action in Chenarus . . .
_S2_ 10 Posted August 16, 2010 ah but SF are not Tier 1 operators ;) They are tier 3. but yeah, tier 3 on up uses whatever camouflage they want, as long as it's NATO.

True, but I'm sure if Tier 3 uses it, Tier 1 might too ;) They've been known to wear uniforms of other units they're rollin with in order to blend in. (And for the record, most of SF is Tier 3 . . . there are DA teams within Army SF that are Tier 2 hehe). Edited August 16, 2010 by TheRev709

Those pictures are exactly what I meant. If Mcnools made some units like that, they would fit right in..in most jungle/woodland/Greener afghan areas. :)
bugkill 7 Posted August 16, 2010 ah but SF are not Tier 1 operators ;) They are tier 3.but yeah, tier 3 on up uses whatever camouflage they want, as long as it's NATO. I can assure you that SOF operators wear pretty much the same stuff. People have no idea specifically what unit certain operators are with in theater and it is like that for a reason. There are some things that stick out, but for the most part, you won't know if they are SF, Seals, or Delta unless you are with them.
_S2_ 10 Posted August 16, 2010 All I was pointing at was the fact that SF (not SOF, because PSYOPS and CA are SOF and they cant) can use any NATO camo pattern, that doesn't mean that they are going to wear whatever they want, but the option is there for whatever need they have. There are SF operators that dress up in afghan garb to perform certain missions just like other SOF units. "Tier 1" is based on the specific mission that specific special operations units carry out and that is why some units are labled as such. SF is unique in the fact that they can perform in both a unclassified role supporting conventional forces and in a classified role much like the "tier 1" units. mcnools 62 Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) Anyway, I probably won't add any woodland camo, atleast not for a long while, not because I don't think it's useful, but just because I simply don't have the energy, I haven't even decided if I'm going to add multicam or not yet. If someone was to do a standalone retexture in woodland camo and release them I wouldn't mind at all, aslong as credit is given where it's due. So all of you who wants woodland, do it. ;) I mean, right now I actually feel like PLAYING the game and enjoying it, not just modding it, haha. :) Edited August 16, 2010 by McNools

Sif 10 Posted August 16, 2010 Well, just because they are, that doesn't mean I get filled with a sense of inspiration and creativity all of a sudden. ;) Multicam in my honest opinion would look great on some of the units, it'd also would help distinguish them from the enemy who also are wearing DCU at times. supergruntsb78 67 Posted August 16, 2010 could you take the model from the operator (silenced) and create it without the headgear (aka no towel around the head) ?

I agree, it would look good, but inspiration is incredibly low at the moment. Would be cool if someone else added it to all the unit and released it as a standalone though, like I said. could you take the model from the operator (silenced) and create it without the headgear (aka no towel around the head) ? Nope, that would require that I edit the model, and that's not possible (atleast not without hacking and breaking the law). :)

road runner 4344 Posted August 20, 2010 I'm not a lover of the SCAR's on this add on , and would prefer to have them use RH's Mk18's and HK416's how would I go about creating such a change/ group other than using the Init field, so I didn't have to edit them every single time? I tried to use cPBO/elireness and never noticed any config.cpp after they were unpacked.. Loving this add on though !!
