HyperU2 11 Posted March 25, 2010 I just shot my entire store of 25mm sabot at the front turret and hull of an empty T-72A, and nothing happened.It took almost 70 rounds to immobilize and kill the crew by hitting the rear and hull. 140 had no visible effect on the rear turret. However, a handful of shots to the side turret armor have immense effect. I made the crew bail out in just 3 shots. So there's your glitch. Yeah that's exactly where I shot, but I got a traumatic explosion. 25mm AP is nothing when you're fighting against tanks... That's what TOWs are for. IRL at least, and even with TOWs you're not supposed to use IFVs against tanks if you can help it. 20-50mm of armor and 400-600mm of armor is very different, not to mention IFVs are usually just steel/aluminum while tanks often use stronger materials. Armstrong =:) 10 Posted March 25, 2010 I'm alway's lucky with ACE releases I get error when first starting game in editor/sp/mp playing as soldier or just poping out of tank/apc I get this message: "sound ACE_Heartbeatscalar not found" Im not using any other SOUND mods, I also have instaled ACE core 1.0 What to do? langgis08 10 Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) hi all, at first: fantastic work @ ace2 - Team ! very good work, makes a fantastic game even more fantastic and challenging :) playing sp campaign "harvest red" again with ace2, mp always with ace2 of course, no probs. my mod-sequence: -cpuCount=4 -nosplash -world=empty -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_PLA;@ACEX_SM but one problem I do have: mini-campaign EW doesn't run with ace2, after loading the map (it's the last game-screen I will see of EW) and the mission briefing (reach "SPARTA" and so on) is shown -> then afterwards pressing "continue" is being followed by a black screen - in task manager arma2-process is still running, framemeter (ati tray tools) on black screen goes little up and down, fan of graphics card (Radeon 4870 @512MB, no oc) turns faster/louder but nothing happenes anymore except the black screen and task manager telling me everythings running ... same experience with vista32 and xp32 ... i'm using latest version of ace2 (324), always updating with six updater, no problems at all with that. arma2 is on 1.05, ati driver vista 10.2, xp 10.3 ... Ram 4GB, amd phenom 9750 @2,4 (no oc) does anyone have an idea ? langgis08 10 Posted March 25, 2010 Manzilla, yes I've copied the 2 hotfix-files (missions_ew.pbo, missions_ew.pbo.bi.bisign) into "ArmA 2\AddOns" I did that right after installing 1.05, when it came out aound last christmas. could it be that my gpu-memory isn't that much ? that could be a reason for my gpu-fan turning like hell, couldn't it ? langgis08 10 Posted March 25, 2010 I've got it ! @Manzilla: thx for your interest in my problem, mate ! the problem was that I've ALWAYS been playing ace2 together with the beta-patch (the link on my desktop has always started arma2.exe from the beta-folder) and I (shame on me) didn't recognized until now (yes, I know, I could have looked down right for the arma2-version number :o ) ... so the whole chaos this evening wasn't for nothing, at least. Finally, I got the clue by starting all ace2-mods via arma-launcher and not from my desktop-link -> and !!!surprise!!! ace2 + EW = :bounce3: so I tried more and even ace2 + EW + rah66-mod = :bounce3: conclusions for me: ace2 + arma2@1.05 = but ace2 + arma2@beta-patch = :eek: good night ... KEVINMGXP 20 Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) I installed arma II and then the six updater downloaded @CBA and @ACE , i run the six updater i do what the video tuturial says everything is installed but if i run the mod it dont want to run. maybe i missed something the six updater installes @ACEX - @ACEX_PLA - @ACEX_SM by it selfs i copy a shortcut and i do C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -noSplash -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_SM like i have to but if i run it it says include file userconfig \ace\ace_clientside_config_hpp not found. hope some one can tel me what i did wrong Edited March 25, 2010 by KBourne Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

They are incapable of penetrating even the side armor of a T-72, and it took 3 direct hits to do any damage to a BMP-2. That's because the Kh-29 isn't an ATGM, it's a tactical missile for use against large and/or fortified targets. It doesn't have a shaped charge warhead like the maverick, but an HE blast 'head that's actually bigger than a GBU-12's. There will be some changes in how HE damage is applied against armoured targets in the next update, but I dare say none of the crew would've survived the blast :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
