Description:

This Addon is a retexture of Russian spetsnaz units, and is meant to rapresent GRU spetsnaz units, one of the most secret, reliable and capable special operation unit in the world!

The units come sorted by the different camouflage of the uniforms they're wearing:

- GRU Spetsnaz(Gorka E): wearing Gorka E uniform.

- GRU Spetsnaz(Gorka D): wearing Gorka D uniform.

- GRU Spetsnaz(Izlom): wearing Izlom uniform.

- GRU Spetsnaz(Berezka): wearing Berezka uniform.

- GRU Spetsnaz(Klmk): wearing Klmk uniform.

Me and Caprera worked a lot on those units trying to archieve the best combination between realism and gameplay, please keep in consideration this is just a reskin, so the models can't be 100% accurate, and is very hard to find infos and references on those units too...if you have any references or confirmed infos about GRU and Russian spec ops units, please contact us on the release treads... we will update and continue working on those units trying to reach the best standards we can .

Required Addons.

No required addons if you use standard GRU units equipped with BI weapons.

If you want to use the replacement for those units that equip GRU guys with Vilas east weapons, you will need Vilas easp weapons pack, bu it is of course OPTIONAL.

VILAS weapons replacement (optional).

The pack include 2 files, both with respective signatures:

- mas_gru_spet.pbo : is the main addon PBO (needed!!!)

- mas_gru_spet_VIL_wp.pbo : replace unit's BI weapons with Vila's ones (optional)

What you of course need to play those units is the "mas_gru_spet.pbo" file, putting it in your modfolder you'll find the units in the editor as explained after, the units will be equpped with standard BI east weapons.

If you add in the modfolder also the file "mas_gru_spet_VIL_wp.pbo" the GRU unit's BI weapons will be replaced by great Vilas east weapons, note only GRU weapons will be replaced , standard BI units will keep their own weapons .

This will offer the maximum liberty of choice and compatibility to the player, anyway we advice to installs Vilas east weapons and using the replacement as it add really a lot of variety .

Installation.

Put the addons in the "mod folder" of your preference, you will find the units in the editor under:

 Opfor - GRU Spetsnaz (sorted by different camos) 

you'll find groups also under:

 Opfor - GRU Spetsnaz (same way).

After several testing we had no kind of problems using vanilla games and ACE2, no RPT errors.

I've noticed that GRU operator with AKM-GL (with Vilas weapons config) is using polish AKM with Pallad GL. So, is it because I use both modern weaponpack and P85 one?

The aim was to start having different "special units" as modern RA would require, rather then releasing more targets with different weapons and camos...

You mean a MVD unit as it could be the spetsgruppa Vityaz or the Alpha, and here the project is really different, or you just wanted the coolest setup available for Arma2 OPFOR ?? :D

A screen would be useful ;) Btw i'm not sure about P85's AKM about the material used on the grip. Maybe Vilas could help...
