Has anyone got the 'Right Windows Key' to work (the key is used for interaction with static weapons and other players)? I don't have a right-windows key on my keyboard so I bound it to other keys, but none of those work.

Would binding the key break the function? Or does the ACE2 Beta not support it yet?

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but i noticed you can now drive tanks(Abrams/MLRS so far tested) on the sea floor and take no damage.

Makes some hectic beach assaults though, when you see an M1A1 emerge out of the water.

Regarding the version mismatch beeps, I think that if the client version is higher than the server, it should just be completely ignored. Sure, it might cause problems between versions and weird unforseen bugs, but then the server admins might actually put some effort into updating faster.

Perhaps just a globalChat message into the game when a player joins? Such as "Player x is using newer ACE2 version - x.xxx", then any admins present in a game would be instantly notified, since the majority of players on a server can't do anything about its version.

The idea is that it's so annoying that you can't play and leave :) But I guess forcing a mission end for the player in particular would be easier.

It was invented when sig-checking was causing issues, plus there's more flexibility scriptwise.

Anyway, added your suggestion to the ticket; http://dev-heaven.net/issues/show/6681 plus some of my own :)

Nice mod, but that installer/updater is beyond horrible, one of the worst pieces of software I have ever seen.

Well then make something that's better!

Complaining is easy, fixing is hard.

Please delete @ACEX folder, and delete @ACEX.7z if you have it in the updater folder, then try again.

By try again do you mean run it wihtout ACEX.7z in the six-updater folder (as well as without the ACEX folder in my arma folder)?? How would this fix my missing ACEX installation?

Or do you mean delete both, place ACEX.7z again in the six-updater then run the updater again?

Please delete both, and run action 2. Do not put the 7z back. It will be download from an rsync mirror :)

Might probably also want to remove the images, I think they are over the size limits (before a moderator moves in :))

just my 2 cents: I know that the ACE team has their hands full, but I think a cool feature at some point would be a US Army skinned CH-47. Sticking with the Army theme and all. Strykers, Bradleys, Little Birds and soon the Apache with the BIS 1.05 patch. Could use a US Chinook :)

when i run the sixupdater i use option 1 and it brings me to a site and i get error saying it cant connect

Rehab means, if a player has a negative rating (team killer for example) you can rehabilitate him.

Examine is only available, if the mission has wounds system enabled via the module.

It's not once you actually get to the files itself that it's hard to install, it's getting to the file at all.

Why couldn't the ACE team just upload files like everybody else? Or use the old update from ARMA 1? That one was far more user friendly.

Also, thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that.

EDIT: Ah, after reading that page, let me rephrase it slightly:

The YouTube tutorial is what is ridiculous. It makes no mention of the fact that you are not actually supposed to extract the files to the SIX folder, tells us to use a button that isn't there, and doesn't tell us what the steps are (I.E it's just a guy clicking, each step isn't described.) But the updater method is still ridiculous.

Thanks very much.

And regarding the ACE wound system, does it all work for "HUMAN" players??

I was under the impression that the morphine and all that works for human players just not AI

Is this correct if the Module is active?
