Gigan's Mobile Missle Launcher "SCUD"

NEW VERSION UPDATED 12-3-09

Freshly ported from ARMA 1, WITH Gigan's permission, I am releasing the ARMA 2 Scud, (Vilas has allso informed me that he is working/worked out a newer Scud model, so don't be surprised if you see another SCUD missle soon). Remember this is only a beta, so don't get all uptight if you run across a bug...

All credit goes to Gigan, I am only credited with porting the addon , so thanks to Gigan for this awesome edition to ARMA 2. ( And Vilas for making the model in the begining of 2008 :) lol )

The SCUD is found under OPFOR-> Faction(OTHER) -> SCUD

PS: DON'T BE NEAR THE NUKE WHEN IT GOES OFF :):yay:

YAGP - Yet Another Gigan Port.

Gigan designed a really nice system. But how about doing something new rather than "borrowing" from Gigan?

if your up for the challenge & have the time and resources at your disposal, than cheers to you, I don't though so "Borrowing" will have to suffice for now! :D Arma 2 needed a SCUD missle, I found the quickest & least time consuming way to do it, & with Gigan's permission, I see nothing wrong here :)

That would require designing one first, which is theoretically possible I suppose I can look into it...this addon may actually be able to make use of the MANDO missle interface(which has ballistic missles I believe), I'll have to talk to Mando about it.

you don't have to make new missile mode. just change the explosion and radius to something normal

As I said, the MANDO system has ballistic missle system allready implemented, let me talk with him & see what we can come up with.

can you make the scud launcher be able to get rearmed after launching the first missile? and remove/decrease the fuel need for the launch

with exeption that i made model for Arma 1 in begining of 2008, later replaced by new one, but no problem as i gave to Gigan and i am happy to see such addon, soon new version appear , i hope new version is good for you ;)

Except the missile textures which look a bit crappy compared to the new vehicle textures. ;)

Awesome :) Indeed the rocket texture is very different in quality, but i guess that's a wip ;) really can't wait :D

if u copy the fire and smoke fx from arma and just put them in arma 2 i shows up great. ive done it my self ( edit ) sorry talking about the port of ur scud to arma 2 just trying to help

Lucilk has released an updated version of the SCUD I converted, this download fixes many problems with the first, Includes Nuclear Effects/Aftermath that the previous SCUD left out, Please Download this, this is quite amazing, Thanks again Lucilk!

That nuke script looks similar to BIS nuke script which is used in ArMA 2 campaign. :rolleyes:

I dont know about that, regardless if it is or not, the Scud problems are now fixed, including being able to rearm the Scud with the use of the Scud hanger...

FYI that post is considered a spoiler because I have not played the A2 campaign all the way through:eek:

Love the nuke.

I have one suggestion, though, can you make the smoke and dust go into the mushroom cloud and up, as opposed to down and out?

The smoke & dust go into the mushroom cloud & spread out from the bottem, like a real nuclear bomb would.
