Updated patch 1.02.58134

Recommended Posts

It says with the latest build for 1.02 that its already applied, now am i supposed to uninstall reinstall and then patch once more loosing an activation?

How does this work, the readme says 1.00/1.01/1.02 compliant for updating. Obviously not true ?

@moosenoodles,

After installing, did you check in-game if the new build number is in there? This may be a similar fake warning message like with the 1.01 beta/final. :)

no not checked yet but the thing is it went straight to end of install fast and said already applied, id be suprised if those fixes were installed that fast as per change log?

Ill look though but I always like a fresh install 1.00 to latest patch, and looks like activation versions cant do that. Silly really, and rather anti customer approach is this as well.

Good patch, but I personally dont need FSAA patch when I am constantly under 30 FPS in campaign...thanks anyway, hope BIS will release patch 1.03 aimed at optimization and performance as soon as possible...:(

Installed on Win7 x64 Build 7137.

It had said patch already applied but when clicked ok and went into game, i was able to now select AA option.

However..... the 8gb issue isnt fixed. I still have to put the command -winxp to have the graphics work in this game. If i dont, its just all blocks. :( this isnt good at all :(

ATI 4890, Q6600, 8GB, 9.6 Cat Drivers.

Yes, a good patch..

But, in the same scenario,AA set to low cost me a few fps (4-5 on 55/60 average)

The average loss is about 7%-8%

Too much expensive...

Cheers

This is utter bull lol, where is the card AA utilization? still not there for me at all. tests done..

1) Card set to 4X (12 samples) edge detect on CCC.

2) Start game make sure AA selection is off in game.

3) Start mission, excellent, 75 frames on map with ai, sim frames ingame up to 70 lovely.

4) go to tree look at it and NO AA applied, jaggie as mick the singer is.

Test 2.

1) Set card to Application controlled

2) Start game

3) Gfx AA options in game set to Normal

4) start mission, 53 frames on map, go to tree AA applied but fps now of 30.. ?

Its to me like there is no changes to what stated in the changelog, its almost like all that has been done is the dropdown is open to use instead of changing fsaa= in cfg file.

Someone enlighten me here how to get card AA working, as it surely is not functioning as it apparently is meant to be.

I still have the VRAM bug with Nvidias 186.x driver + 8GB RAM and the updated patch. For me it only works to go back to 182.x or limit the ram to 4GB ... -winxp doesnt help for me. :(

whats a tree got to do with it?

the bark/trunk of the tree is what im looking at not the foliage..

The trunk has AA applied with ingame AA not with card AA thats the point.

The apparent use of the dropdown to utilize your card is not at all working here. Otherwise I would not see a drop of 30fps with using it in the game options

True card AA should be selected on your card while the games AA settings can be left off. The driver and gpu picks up the task. Certainly isnt here right now.

All Id like to know is from other ATI users 9.6 cats 4870 1gb setup if they are seeing same problem. Just want to know if its a driver issue or if the patch changelog is not quite accurate..

Very fast update to the AA and some other smaller improvements.

Still getting massive screen corruption.
