oh yeah, forgot to ask, now that there will be m-109 for nato forces, what opfor will have as counterpart? I don't think 2s1 would fit in that role, what about 2s3 Akatsiya?

WP will have access to 2s1 and 2s7. Perhaps a 2s3 later on but not for now.

Thats a very beautiful M109 Howitzer but its NOT a Paladin.

Visually it could represent any of the A1 to A5 versions but the A6 Paladin has a different look to it. I was a M109 mechanic in the Army and its great to actually see one in game, Paladin or not. Thanks for that   It would also be nice to see the Ammo Carrier version that is built on the same Chassis. The M992 CAT are usually always paired with a howitzer as they work together.

I think he's trying to point out the fact that only the modern M109A6 is called 'Paladin'.

All the previous versions were just called M109A1/2/3/4/5.

Wow the guy was just trying to help and that's what he gets? 1985, 2005 doesn't change the fact that he's right. Those pictures don't show an A6, thus not a paladin.

Regardless, I look forward to blowing some sh#t up with those M109's pictured. Well done thus far.

As far as i can see this is a missunderstanding on Vilas side as he ( and as i was ) was thinking all M109 have the nickname "Paladin".

To clarify this for everyone:

The only thing called Paladin is the A6 version, thats at least how i understood it from some googeling.

As this wanst really explained well in Meatheads post i think Vilas missunderstood and was thinking it was a suggestion to make a A6.

Very nice. I see you used some simple AO generator. Adds quite a lot of depth to the solids.

I think your vehicles are the best textured addons you make. The weathering looks cool, the specular is up to the task too.

The AO was baked in 3dsmax. Nothing fancy. COuld have done more but deadline pressures you know :P

For now the BW M109A3 will be just that in german colors and not M109A3G (with its distinct muzzle break) due to time and stuff. We will see about getting it fixed later.

only the M109A6 model is named the "paladin"..

this is the M109A3 wich does NOT have the name Paladin...

both are M109´s but different versions of it..

and only the latest version is called the paladin...

so according to internet sources it has 6,6 m long (hull), so it is equal T72

nice looking m109! though it doesn't look anything to the paladins i had in mind, ( Usa paladin tanks from C&c generals )

but sure looks sweet anyways! What features will they have? Sort of like a mobile D-30 cannon or does it work like a artillery with a trajectory on the rounds and all?
