  1. So far I have tested the game with Vista 32 and XP 32 and XP is a clear winner.
  2. Same here. After getting a more powerful graphics card I can run the game in HD without problems. People got to realize that BI made the game so that it runs currently only with a high end system. As few years pass it will run even with on a low end system. I guess that BIS planned the engine to last for several years to come.
  3. It updates the game despite of the message. Just check the video options. AA is now enabled even with shadows. I guess the rest is identical to the older 1.02 patch.
  4. Found them finally. Editor clearly is not placing the files(saved as Single Player missions) in the right place under Vista. I located the files manually in: C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\missions Seems editor saves Sp missions in a XP compatible folder.
  5. Found them finally. Editor clearly is not placing the files in the right place under Vista. I located the files manually in: C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\missions Seems editor saves Sp missions in a XP compatible folder.
  6. Very strange (bug???) in the mission editor. I cannot remove exported SP missions. Once they are exported even deleting files form the HD does not clear them from the list. They just remain playable. Where the heck does the game store this info. Even search does not find anything. I cleared user-made content from the Documents folder and game folders (both missions) seem to be empty anyway. This is under Vista.
  7. All user made content deleted form both locations. And still the damn test mission sits in SP missions menu and is playable. What kind of madness is this? It is almost if the game can dig the deleted files from HD. Even the search does not find anything anymore. EDIT: tested with a another mission with the same result. Editor files can be deleted, but exported SP missions remain playable and clutter the menu even if you remove the files from Documents.
  8. So I thought also like in ArmA. Game folder's mission folders are both empty. Only readmes in those and still the mission is playable?!?!?
  9. I exported a test mission to SP missions from the editor and now I cannot delete it from the list. I deleted all folders from the documents folder, but no avail. Mission is still playable and well. ArmA2 folder does not have any such files. So where does the game store mission data?
  10. Stupid me :p Updated Nvidia's drivers also so it must have defaulted back to normal settings.
  11. Strange with 1.02 there seems to be some kind of frame rate limiter? FPS won't go above 60 no matter what. With 1.01 I got over 100 FPS when looking into sky or at empty sea.
  12. - Some more testing and female civilians do scream, but a lot less than before - Performance is about the same as with the earlier patch - AI not sure. Hard to tell.
  13. 1.02 Patch installed - here goes: - Post processing seem to be toned down a bit - Did AI just get a bit dummier? - Ambient civilians no longer scream when under fire (was a nice effect) - Game Logic section is a mess in units (empty slots etc.)
  14. Changing my graphics card from 9600gt to 260gtx did wonders for me. With the older card the game was suffering from slow downs. With the new card I get 100+ frames by looking into sky. You can just forget about running the game in high resolutions with mid range cards.

    Horrible Graphics/FPS

9600 GT here too and the game won't run in full HD. You have to lower resolution. If I lay down to grass I get something like 8-15 fps. Forests and urban areas also cause a massive fps drop.
