Yeah the LWP was a part of the WP and should stay under EAST side in the editor.

But that reminds me to one of the Osprey books about the Wp where they mentioned that the LWP could be a problem factor in the WP if things get hot mainly cause they had their beef with the soviet in the past.

Would be intresting to see a campaign with LWP and US vs the soviet though, that would be especially intrestign because of the polish map we have ( or shoudl ahve sooner or later ).

Maybe we can set them to both sides in the editor so the mission makers have all choices.

Yesterday, I talked with a friend who was in the polish army in the 80's and he told me that:

''If it was before 1980, the polish army would fight with the soviet army. But, after 1980, they would fight against the soviet army because of the new social/political/economical context. Solidarność was strong in the population and the power with Jaruzelski doesnt really have the support of the army. People were realy mad about the communism governement and system''

Not much, but as already stated [thx Manzilla] we will surely post screenshots of relevant enhancements / additions if those are at a satisfying level, worth showing.

While were at it, here is a new T-80 video by Kenji.

If you look at the first few tanks youll notice that they have randomly working parts so tanks in a squad qont look all the same.

Only downside is that the aspect ratio of the video is screwed so the tanks look bit wrong proportion wise

This vehicle, which you posted, seems like little mix of ASLAV and USMCs LAV25. Basically its the same vehicle, but there are some changes.

For example LAV25 has different size and patern of tyres, different headlights and camo.

And ASLAV has propeller guard, shorter exhaust, different mine thrower, stowage baskets and aerials beside turret, and mounted MG MAG 58 7.62mm instead of M240.

we don't have new island yet, but Marines can fight in Sahrani if necessary

the LAV is there because we badly needed a mid 80s wheeled vehicle in the mod.

Reason is that the mod is also a replacement mod which replaces all soldiers and vehicles in ArmA with mid 80s counterparts, in this case it will replace the strykers.

We tried the Bradley for that purpose but when we replaced the strykers with it it had probs like wheels that wouldnt turn and such because its not a wheeled class vehicle.

If you look how much Marines stuff the army uses in Arma then i think thsi oen LAV wont hurt that bad.
