nuxil 2 Posted August 24, 2008 i just tested it and i like it but i have to agree a bit with Howard. its a bit anoying. i dont use bindings. but i find it clumsy with the gear up thing. for the Su controll system you should rather have putter the Hook animation in there instead of gear up. but after all.. i'll rate it 9 out of 10 keep up the good work!! Well you have to download the flare countermeasure addon. Just search here or armaholic. To me its flares, Dynamic view distance (wich i cant understand people who doesnt use when flying these awesome addons?! and 6th sense tracers. They should all work when XEH is added to the config. Yeah, I usually expect a little more performance then there can be, especially after I watched stealth, and played with fromz f-18s, which might be a more manuverable than the rest, since it travels at lower speeds.... Anyway, I use a keyboard now. Maybe keyboeards are't that good. Anyway, I have to say that the plane is sick. Haha!! hailstorm 4 Posted August 24, 2008 man, this is great stuff. nice work with the carrier too. definitely better than any opfor aircraft i've tried so far. it handles nicely - feels heavy, yet you can throw it about too. I noticed that the engine nozzles actually change in size according to throttle position - awesome stuff. the amount of detail you have in this thing, it's great. a few problems, i found, though: - 2 CV land Procedure options appear in the demo mission, and attempting to use either option causes the jet to STOP in midair. ok at altitude, because i can use the fall to re-gain flying speed, but if it happens at anything lower than 150 or so metres, the jet is lost. - it's has very slow acceleration - i'm having trouble catching up to the tail of harriers, unless i have afterburner engaged, which gives me a very small closing speed. - the little bug on the HUD that indicates flight path seems to be off - it either lags, or indicates an angle higher than that of the actual flightpath. makes it harder to bring it in to land. - does the cannon really fire in 20-round bursts? it's hard to both get used to the cannon and attack more than 1 target when it's limited to 9 bursts. i would have thought a fighter wouldn't have a burst setting on it's guns. - it has a very nose-up trim setting - i'm finding i have to hold the stick very far forward in order to keep it straight and level. - kusnezov: if your standing near the ramp missile launcher when a mando missile takes flight, you get pushed through the deck (probably not much you can do about this one) - that tug: no bugs, just praise. seriously, who would have figured something so simple would be so much fun?! i'd have to say that i agree with the others when they ask for the 'gear' option to be left on the normal action menu. it's really not one of those things you want to concentrate on doing when landing or taking off. But you said nothing positive about the plane ..... so I guess you won't be flying it much anyway  Bastard Well, It's only two extra options on the menu, I guarantee you that it won't be any "meny clutter" When I saw the teaser video for this one a month or so back, I read that that you were trying to avoid clutter. So I guessed that you were going to have alot of options, like on the F-18 (which can be quite annoying) but you shouldn't worry about that, the two extra tabs won't take space. And finaly, I love the mod :P It flies nicely, VERY GOOD job on making the FX script passive, so that you don't have to script and blah blah blah into the mission folder, etc. Demo mission is pain in the ass hard though. I really love the loadouts, though it seems like the "Whatever-250" bomb ain't very accurate, but it doesn't matter really. I don't know if you made the carrier, but it's awesome! It looks big and mighty, though it can take a good load of hits before starting to "burn" I tried loading up a F-18 with loads of anti-ship missiles and fired everything at it, for no effect, a nuke seemed to do the trick though! Let's see.. What more?... The thuging vehicle thingy is awesome, it works so perfectly! I hope you'll be adding some kind of basic missile launch detection and flare function in later releases, not the kind of flares that Mandoble or Franze's flares that simply avoids EVERYTHING, I'm thiking more of the flares in Senitel's Cobra pack, where the missiles can actually hit you. And one last thing, would it be possible to add a big boom sounds when you go in a high speed of say, 900? Gnat, I just did a few tests to see if the white dashboard was caused by a conflict with other content. It still seems to appear with vanilla ArmA Gold v1.14, with and with out QG. I simply put "rktsu33.pbo" in my @Test Mod folder by itself then tried it with and without DBE1 in the target line. I just placed the Blackbird(as player) and placed the rest as Empty on the Rahmadi airstrip. They all seem to have a white, barely translucent sheet over the upper instruments. Hopefully you can replicate it and it's not my ArmA setup. White sheet et al., this thing kicks some serious @ss! And once again to all that bitched that Gnat talked a good game but never released shiite in the past..... Hmmmm... what's this? He comes through once again. Ahh ahh... hey Gnat, any updates?
