Hi Silola

In your opinion, how long do you think it will take to make this kind of stronghold with your 3DE, using the projects in the scripts's form (1)? smile_o.gif

With OFP, it takes about 5/6 minutes so that all this takes shape at each load mission's beginning, and with 3 FPS during the contruction. banghead.gif

This tool is very promising. I look forward to using it. notworthy.gif

PS: sorry modos, i know it isn't OFP's thread. I just want to give me an idea

Please do not MIX RTE wit 3DE you can do things in realtime but RTE is a different thing.

Me thinks that mapfact have made ~ 5 nice island "just in time"! smile_o.gif

Whats the most difficulties in making such an great tool and if you have one wish to BIS what would you like to ask for?

Hope this 3DE tool will be working for ArmA and ArmA2!

btw whats about the Editorupgrade from Lester?

We have no info about Arma 2 and if so we shouldn talk about

All things are going Final now !

After doing the rest of documentation and translating, plans for release/online-workshop are going on now.

We are on time we could say :-)

Sounds amazing

Im curious, does this support 'by hand' modifying of objects, that is, rotating by x, y - and raising lowering them?

If it does thats awesome, currently to build walls that look decent around towns I have to micro manage walls that are on slopes, going back and forth between editor and in game, changing their various values.

Sure it does! the switching between editor and ingame is history ....what u see is what u get smile_o.gif

And Lester created walls with and without slope placement mode.

I have a question

Is it possible this 'lester walls with slope' has been released?

Ive searched alover and cannot find anything, just wondered if this might be an addon ive missed, being im about to fortify 15 towns on northern sahrani with walls and looking for the easiest way to pull this off smile_o.gif

This parts will only be in the MAP_EU_Editor Update and will be

released with the (3DE/3DE_Island/EU_Editor_Update) before end of August.

Please Note

After its release...

You are NOT allowed

to release a modified version of them.

to release the content of the addons by yourself in any other form.

But Lester will do a documentation of the Types he used and we think about to open a 3DE Teamedit Server so all things can be discussed and tested.

Sorry, I wasnt sure if this was in response to my question regarding Lesters Walls On Slope

Sounds good, look forward to it. And of course credit will be given for usage, and will adhere to any rules of usage as well.

Actual i work hard on the documentation of the Editorupgrade (EU) which is splited in 14 Categories of Objecttypes.

Of cause all models in MLOD based of BIS models would be released too for free use !

Also i not made "Walls on Slope" because BIS dit it imo to much, so i build variants which aren't on slope but full vertical. wink_o.gif

And i see that MCPXXL seems to be to do something for the near future.  whistle.gif

btw i dunno if anybody has mentioned this but can objects be scaled in the 3d editor? and be tilted?

You can do all things that the engine allows ;-) but no wonders ...

You can only scale in Visitor but not ingame :-(

I have to ask

Is the function with slope or without slope (not quite sure which now tounge2.gif) featured where it provides a smooth transition of angle changes for stretches of walls over un-even terrain? This would be really identical to the function the editor in ofp uses for wall placement, where it keeps wall stretches that are linked together 'flowing' so the top corners of each wall section meets up.

Asking, because I really want to know, I just spent 2 hours on 20 wall sections for a town, and it gets tedious having to modify height and vectorUp for many of them, because Arma engine refuses to do anything but make a mess out of them..

If You have the right object (MAP_EU has many of these),

then you can give such an action done in 10-30 seconds.
