popcorn 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Hi guys. Check this thread out. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums....+a-stan Those are some pretty cool vehicles right? Would it be easy to mount machineguns on the civilian "offroad 1, 2 and 3" trucks in the game? I have never made an addon, so for me its going to be tricky. Is there anyone here who knows how to make vehicles like that? Could you please make some nice trucks? They would be good for SF and PMC missions.
Casimir 0 Posted September 22, 2007 This is coming with Queens gambit hopfully BIS or somebody will make it a stand alone addon
NoRailgunner 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Get the expansion "Queen's Gambit" in few days You better post your wishes in Addon request thread
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 22, 2007 ... somebody will make it a stand alone addon I'm sure the licensing agreement would prohibit that.
Zadoff1880 0 Posted September 22, 2007 And who would worry about that? Actually, I like this "Coyota" car with a PKM on an invisible (!)mount, it must be pretty hard to aim that thing without a real mount thingy in real life - and u know what, VBS2 insurgent cars DO have MOUNTED pkm, but we will not get them in Q.G. BIS just don't love us anymore! link: http://www.vbs2.com/site/images/insurgent_1.jpg WARNING - VERY LARGE PICTURE!!!
USSRsniper 0 Posted September 22, 2007 ... somebody will make it a stand alone addon I'm sure the licensing agreement would prohibit that. He is talking about making it stand alone, by taking ArmA model of truck and placing MG, nothing illegal here...

I interpreted that mangled, run-on sentence to mean that he wants BIS or someone to take the Queen's Gambit item and release it as a free addon.
Zadoff1880 0 Posted September 22, 2007 What's Correct Inglsih??? U mean like American Englsih, or UK Englsih, or Australian, or NZ English, or... this list can go one forever!

BIA != BIS Or put it like this: BIA - Bohemia Interactive Australia, they made VBS 1&2, using the ArmA and OFP engine. They make things for the military. BIS - Bohemia Interactive Studios, they made OFP and ArmA, they make things for the wider public. They are from the Czech republic. They are not the same company. You want to play VBS2? Then pay 1500$. Oh and that's the base price, I'm sure that with packs it will cost even more. Stop your whining.

Stewy 1 Posted September 22, 2007 Just to get things back on topic - does anyone know if Queens Gambit has 'western' style technicals? I can sort of see a "Coyota" Hilux in the bottom left corner of that pic - but does it have a .50/249/240 on the back? Will it have more than 2 seats do you think? I noticed that the 'enemy' technicals in QG allow to guys to sit on the back tray of the truck...
Casimir 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Well its Got a PK mounted on them, and i think i saw enemies sat on the back of somthing as well, but i cant remember where.
ArmaVidz 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Just on the topic of 'what's in queens gambit' and 'mounted MG's on pickup trucks': wasn't fastroping on the box for ArmA?
Messiah 2 Posted September 23, 2007 no fast roping on my box - only the American's got fooled on that one. and unlike the Atari box, the pictures of queens Gambit are ingame, rather than 3d renders.
Kerry 0 Posted September 23, 2007 dude....who c ares about Queens Gambit. They messed up enough on 1 game. Im not even thinking of even looking at the box of quuens gambit. I aint spendin 5$ more on ArmA then I have now. now with the tools out, all these mods will blow queens gambit away. And I bet eventually(within 1-2 months) there will be plenty of trucks with machineguns mounted on em. I think the BHD mod is going to start work on them sooon. hypno toad 0 Posted September 24, 2007 ... somebody will make it a stand alone addon I'm sure the licensing agreement would prohibit that. Pfft, let's be honest. How could they find out who you are (unless you have your FULL name posted) And let alone really care that much to go through a tonnes of money trying to find an sue you. Just because somebody downloads the vehicles, doesn't mean they are not going to buy queens gambit.
popcorn 0 Posted October 5, 2007 Hi! would it be possible to take the vehicles from queens gambit and somehow get them to work in ArmA? Maybe just copy them or something.

Zadoff1880 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Well... I haven't heared of any illegal copies of any BIS games in Russia or China, ever!
Maddmatt 1 Posted October 6, 2007 Well... someone from Russia or China could do somethng like that... after all, they've already hacked OFP and VBS1, so anything is possible. It would be totally illegal, ofcourse. If you want them so badly then instead of trying to get them illegally just buy the BUDGET PRICED expansion. Pretty damn rude to say stuff like that on the BIS forums. Edit: And I wasn't only referring to Zadoff1880 here, that goes for a couple others too.

Sniperwolf572 758 Posted October 7, 2007 If you'd like to request an addon that modifies the existing non-QG offroads, feel free to do so in this thread. Making QG technicals a working and standalone addon for vanilla ArmA is out of the question since QG is a commercial product. If anyone can do it legally, it's the makers of that product. Closing, since I don't think we're going to get anywhere with this thread.
