malick 0 Posted September 10, 2007 Looks nice so far ! I look forward to seeing this nice bird in game ! It was lovely to fly it in OFP, and missions can get interesting with some target laser pointing. Keep up the good work ! Malick
Punisher5555 0 Posted September 10, 2007 As a 58D driver I can tell you your model is wrong. Please go to our official OH-58 website http://www.kiowapilots.com to get pics/info that you need. You are modeling the first version of the 58D, not the one that is currently in use. I can tell by the front cowling. PM me if you want 58D info.
MEDICUS 0 Posted September 10, 2007 Very nice! Really missed this little bird in ArmA. MfG Medicus

klamacz 448 Posted September 10, 2007 thanks all for opinions and materials, it is very helpfull. As a 58D driver I can tell you your model is wrong. Please go to our official OH-58 website http://www.kiowapilots.com to get pics/info that you need. You are modeling the first version of the 58D, not the one that is currently in use. I can tell by the front cowling. PM me if you want 58D info. I did not model front cowling now, because I wanted to make couple versions of Kiowa Warrior. I have so much photos and plans now (thanks guys one more time) that I could not miss it even if I want Anyway, for me it looks like part putted on original engine. That way I can model old version and add this cowling later and I have 2 versions then More things missing: chaff dispenser behind engine, most of the antennas, couple of parts on hull sides and so on. Dont worry, I'm aware of those small things missing, my idea is to make as accurate model as possible. And - as bonus - couple of screenshots of details. Feel free to comment and criticise http://www.klamacz.czadowe.info/?q=album/17 (page in polish, gallery in english)
roberthammer 582 Posted September 10, 2007 Very nice model mate, well done, base of kiowa you have, only to do realistic like in photos ,the rotor keep it going !
Punisher5555 0 Posted September 11, 2007 Actually the 58's have no chaff/flare dispenser. That is a ALQ-144 Infrared Jammer. I don't think ArmA/OFP ever modelled the ALQ. 58's have a Laser warning system, and a RADAR warning system. For defence there is a the ALQ-144 Infrared Jammer and tactics/pilot skill. I look forward to your model. Hope you can make the cockpit fully functional.

klamacz 448 Posted September 13, 2007 still modeling, I finished windows and front glass, actually I'm working on inside. Its long way before any release, I had to finish model, next UV and textures, next import to O2, make lods, geometry and proxys, write config, test and so on. I cant even say how far it is
CodyLang 0 Posted September 13, 2007 hehe:)...I don't really care how long it takes, just wonderin what has been completed:) Good work,I can't wait!
