If you spent 2 years making a game, then the company publishing was gonna choose a shit cover for your game to sell, do you belive you couldnt do anything to stop it and you had no word in it

I don't think you have any influence on the design of the box as developer. This is publisher stuff, especially when you have quiet many publishers around the world.

Well whether i like that cover or not he won and not to take anything away from him he submitted what he hoped would win... and it did. you dont like it fine and if you can do alot better than fine. but dont try busting the guys bubble because he happen to be picked out of all those entries. a mate told me about the original 505 ArmA game box and said that "it doesnt show the immensity of the game at all" and yeah hes crap at english, he doesnt realise immensity is not a real word...

Immensity - Vastness of size or extent.

Immensity- The quality or state of being immense.

Anyways, in that context, the box-art doesn't show the immensity of the game at all, it just shows some crappy looking grass and a lack of Lense flair that was all too common in ARMA.

When I get a game, i'm like;

"ok, lets open this thing...{open up}...ah, there’s the disk...{take out}...activation key should be in the book, ah, there is is!...{close box, put on shelf}..."

I don't know about you guys but I don't buy a game based on its box art (ever hear "never judge a book by it's cover"?) and I never spend hours eyeballing and criticising the box, thinking, "well, that doesn't happen in the game. The game don't look anything like that".

The only purpose the box serves, in my opinion, is to hold the disk and the book.

If you look at the box art of a game and go wow and then notice its an expansion you will also look for the first game.. But looking at this art people will just go right on by.
