Thanks very much Download and install the african militia. DePbo it and look at the config.cpp Add the same eventhandler to any units you would want to have only black faces. MAKE A BACKUP of "characters.pbo" To make the SLA soldiers use the script, you would have to dePbo the "Characters.pbo"...and then UnRap the Config.bin to make a "config.cpp"...add the eventhandler...delete the original "config.bin"...then re-pbo the characters folder. (You could also make units have only white faces by changing the array in the script to include only the white ones) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
miles teg 1 Posted June 9, 2007 Technically its the southern area that has more desert with the Northern part of the Island being all temperate and European looking so the RACS guys should be black. But nobody likes killing good white folk and they don't want to fight on the side of the black people....so I guess thats why the SLA must be black instead. Anyway, this is completely off-topic. damones 0 Posted July 1, 2007 Got issues with this on MP, when someone tries to join your server running african militia included mission, it gives "You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.AFRICAN_insurgents" Works fine of course if all other players have added the pbo in addons, but it just feels silly since there are default arma stuff... yea im running 1.08... could those faces changes or whatever cause this..? anyway nice pack, saves a lot of time. I was under the impression that all of the players in a multiplayer game ALWAYS DID have to have the same addons. How could multiple people playing online have the same game content if they dont have the same addons in their addon folders? I'm Argentine, Latinamerican, and almost all of us (white people) are Spanish, Italians (mostly of us), or from other Caucasian countrys from Europe, descendants. That only if we count the big inmigration in the 20-30 and the two postwars. But i have an Arabic descendant friend (one of my best friends) and an African descendant (her mother and her father are a little black, but he has de aspect of an african person, that's why we joke that her mather has an affair when she went to Africa ) but they are the less. We also have people from highly places, like the Norwest of our country, from Bolivia, Peru and Paraguay (there is a problem with them, like the Mexican-USA, but i don't want politics here). I went to the Dominic Republic (a contry better to use like model than mine, more in the Atlantic) and almost all the guys were black, there were the white minority (the Hotel's managers or owner, or other power people, non locals, only a few middle-class people were white) and a Latin stile peple (like Porto Riquenian, well i have never been to Puerto Rico, i only guessing), without counting the tourist. And well, that. I think that the porcents have to be like this: Native (killed by Portuguese or Spanish colonos): 25% Latin-Caucasian (highly exposed to the tropical sun, and they are descendants of the first colonos): 30% African American: 10% Real Caucasian (new in the island, may be the first or the third generation): 15% Mestizos (sons of Latin/Caucasian and a African/native): 20% I put only a few Africans because territories owned by Spanish (like the wierdo spanish of the Saharni habitants speak) didn't have the law of "slavery" (may be they didn't have the law, but they trated the native and the few Africans like slaves). And few natives because the Spanish kill almost ALL the native, damn bastard thy were, not now, but i could go back to the past i would sink the Santa Maria and doing that the Aztecs, Incas, and other natives could live in peace. Or may be kick in the balls of Cortez, that would be more funny and in that way i don't have to kill anyone. Well i digress a little in the end :P but i hope that the idea will be noticed. BTW, sorry for my english! EDIT: Other thing! I hope that nobody will be ofended with this post, i know that there are some people a little "susceptible", but i tried to be the most non-racist posible. My father is a racist and i was too and i'm very ashamed for that so i hope that nobody fell bad about my post, and if the case is that, know that it wasn't my intention, and i'm sorry. First make a cfgfaces, make a "group" of faces called xxx_african or whatever. Then Ãn your soldiers config just write "faces=xxx_african".
