Stag 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Nice; about time we had some L119s. If your doing requests, can you bung a bloke in there in a watchcap? Just a personal thing.
STALKERGB 6 Posted January 20, 2009 @Wardog, well for the recon element i will be having guys with bush hats so i might as well include a guy with a watchcap, dont know how i will be for time cause i cant spend very long doing my units at the moment so when it come to making a watchcap it may have to wait a bit (unless anyone is willing to offer me one). Anyway i will see how it goes.
Dark SudoNix 1 Posted January 21, 2009 @[Chris], yeah i can remove the 5.56 on the webbing, just kinda got bored a while back and wrote it on to make it more "personalised" but i dontthink i have actually seen it on webbing either.@PSYCHOSIM, Yeah there will be versions with bush hats in the recon units i will be doing, will get pictures up as soon as i can. @maza94, you might need to be a bit more specific on what you mean by SAS, the term SAS covers a heck of a lot of different specialist groups. Did you mean like counter terrorist SAS with gas masks and dark blue overalls? (if that made sense) kind of Iranian Embassy siege style or just SAS more generally i.e just with an SAS badge on the side of the arm? doesnt mean the soldier, royal marine commando, or whatever didnt write on his own gear... just saying... i wrote "Liberating Iraq since 2003" on my kevlar... and had a smiley face on one of my mag pouches... and who knows what else... STALKERGB 6 Posted January 22, 2009 well i think what i might do is keep it but only on a couple (or one) of the mag pouches, still mainly focused on the models at the moment but have started to work on the textures now. Edit: Did a quick bit of editing before i have to head back to college, added in the Automatic rifleman and Medic, changed the trousers on the Grenadier to 3 colour US desert from a suggestion, does anyone think this looks a tad out of place or is it ok? Also is the correct designation for an FN Minimi the L100A1 if it doesnt have a retractable stock? Larger
Callsign 128 Posted January 22, 2009 Nah that looks better, much more rough and ready, black holsters would probably fit better than DPM ones. Other than that a great effort!
Blackbuck 9 Posted January 22, 2009 L110A1 is the retractable one IIRC. More "L" designations here.
STALKERGB 6 Posted January 22, 2009 ok thanks for the link helping hand, its the L108A1 the version without the retractable stock and as you stated the L110A1 is the retractable version.
Messiah 2 Posted January 22, 2009 Mini Para is now an A2 (L110A2) - Yes, I got it wrong on the UKF promo shots too
Stewy 1 Posted January 22, 2009 That Minimi is sensational mate - ArmA desperately needs one! As a humble request Sir, can you please link it to whatever sound pack we're using? I love the Minimi (M249) with Chammys Sounds Thanks Stalker!
STALKERGB 6 Posted January 23, 2009 @stewy, well AFAIK the minimi i have done is using the sound mod on my system (Chammy sound mod) although i have kinda forgotten what the BIS sounds are like. In the config it is defined as the M249 so takes most of its properties from that (including the sound). Glad you like it by the way

PhilippRauch 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Hi im working on 2d Panels and Instruments for the A-10(A): It will feature clickable switches and turning dials etc... Heres a preview of the ACP (Armament Control Panel): Enlarged View All panels are going to be dialogs, using an auto-autopilot while in a dialog, keeping speed and movement vectors. Sure you should be fast switching those dials in a dive ... but normally you should set your weapons early enough anyway. Other Panels that will be made for sure are the Hud settings and Flare/Chaff. I would like to recreate all others too, but some are just useless until their systems get simulated somehow. I also rework the BIS A-10 in terms of cockpit usability and flight envelope as well as armament. For example the AMC inside the 3d cockpit needs hiddenselections for settexture, so you can see whats set. The 2d AMC will lock into my ordnance system, so you can for example choose there if delay or impact fuses are used and such important things as ripplecount and spacing. Its time to create a usable A-10 Sim inside ArmA. ArmA is a modern Battlefield simulation and for this its important to have proper CAS. Helos are wonderful right now, only the hog is missing soo much. Also my M93 Hornet is nearing final alpha, until i find out why the model is wrong configged now, because it wasnt before. I dunno what i crapped up on the last codecleanup... nargh but all systems work now, except the RemoteControlling, which i haven started developing yet. mikebart 1 Posted January 29, 2009 Grass texture and the models it was rendered from below, needs work to help it tile at a distance though, and ill probably re-render it without the dead leaves. http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/8140/armagrass02pq4.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/8355/veiwport02oe7.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/2315/veiwport01ew9.jpg
.kju 3244 Posted January 29, 2009 Looking good. Though the darker area can be see at distance as very repeatable pattern. Maybe you can avoid that.
max power 21 Posted January 30, 2009 I was experimenting with some layering stuff for dirt. Â There's a diffuse and a little bit of a bump map here but no spec to speak of. Â Tell me what you all think. edit: image fixed
