ebud 18 Posted April 13, 2007 ArmA will reacquaint gamers with the ultimate in realistic, combat gaming. I love this part... Let's see how this will turn out. I predict a lot more stupidity on these boards and the mods "pimp hands" will get quite a workout. I'm crossing my fingers though.
-CS-SOBR-1st-I-R- 0 Posted April 13, 2007 gone gold doesnt mean anything ... In my eyes its rather PR than anything else. ArmA had gone gold too and remember how crazy everyone was ? And ArmA turned out to be .... well you know it.

4 IN 1 0 Posted April 14, 2007 well.....he got..........raped............i mean...........what could you do when you feel like get raped........... anyway, about the version, i think it may like the UK release, 1.06 came with US, and we all get patched up to 1.
Boweavel 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I bought it a month or so ago and it goes Gold only now  ?? Im i wrong in thinking that anything before Gold is just beta and therfore my shelf packaged version of ARMA (au v1.05) is nothing more than a Beta ? and i paid for it thinking it was the 'Gold' ? So now not only are we getting alot of new games ,Never exactly fully complete and left to the users to fix and finish after a few patchs, which i guess can have its good sometimes, Falcon 4.0 comes to mind. I Gotta say im impressed with all the patchs so far for ARMA, least they are trying. Fs9 and MSTS still have 1 patch each. I have hope for the game , tho still waiting on nvidia for 8800 sli vista drivers.. so i can SLI this game and get playing, Ive done the training but the texture, jerkyness and other issues mentioned across the board. keep me from firing it up.. And real truth is Supreme Commander just has to be finished! But then SLI has also been mentioned as an issue.. Bring on the next patch BSI
Maddmatt 1 Posted April 14, 2007 ... Obviously the other versions went gold ages ago or you wouldn't have it The US version is gold meaning that they are manufacturing it and getting ready to ship it out.

Maddmatt 1 Posted April 14, 2007 Still, bring on the patch And the A10s Damn I need a new joystick, unless someone here knows how to fix the screwed up rudder on an old Sidewinder FF2. PM me if you do.

bravo 6 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I wonder why ATARI claism only 50 players in MPwhile we can already go 64 players yet official website says Quote[/b] ]... can be played with 100+ living opponents ... lets hope they not gunna degrade max players to fit description maybe due to lags? i bet you can have more then 65 but it would be unplayable.. I notice that mission becames heavyer when we put lot of men in the map. i know this engine is really good but its not optimized yet.. not by far.
TheElite 0 Posted April 14, 2007 they have changed it a little but not fully. now the official wording since arma:co is "The number of people allowed in a multiplayer game is limited only by the server’s capability and usualy there can be more than 50 players together with hundreds of computer controlled units." usually there can be more than
