raedor 8 Posted March 8, 2007 Erm...do you already have the tools while the rest doesn´t ? Mapfact does not have the tools... We're just not that kind of people who say that nothing is possible without the new generation tools. Everything you d/l here is made with the old tools. Nah, wait, we're using a quite new version of notepad++
Falken 0 Posted March 9, 2007 The AH64 is really good, but the CH47 seems to be a little too twitchy?
Scrub 0 Posted March 9, 2007 THANK YOU! I don't use this icon often, for the AH-
W0lle 1052 Posted March 9, 2007 The AH64 is really good, but the CH47 seems to be a little too twitchy? From the readme -> Known problems: At the moment the CH-47D is way too sensitive with steering. Now that I noticed. However for not having the tools, mapfact (like always) did a good job so far. Some more problems I noticed: Crew in the AH-64 can be killed from outside by a M4/M16 Not only they have delivery problems with the colors, they also had to replace the bulletproof glass with regular glas. The startup procedure is nicely done, but the ingame radio should be disabled then. Whenever one check is done, some idiot screaming "fuel low" all over the time. Edit: Oh and one more thing: Unlike in the new ArmA choppers you don't get any "Get in..." icons on the screen, you need to get in old school style by calling the action menu. If this has been reported/mentioned in the readme then sorry.
raedor 8 Posted March 9, 2007 via cwcr and or beta testing of tools ? Neither of them. Only because we're releasing soemthing we have to have privileges... sure. The only privilege we had is last year's workshop @W0lle: Thanks for feedback.
deanosbeano 0 Posted March 9, 2007 my question isnt loaded i was wondering how some genius figired the sensor out without seeing it somewhere , it is beyond me not only because i am a noob, but also i tried every avenue. The problem is not wether you have them, i wish only best for all, and of course i am fooking jealous, who wouldnt be . i just cant help but dislike the secrecy and bravado in this new eary arma( albeit alot of respect to people who do there own research), if i seem a little demanding ,well like others i have spent nealy 4 monts now trying to get an island and some decent models into arma , but with massie frustrations at the flow of information. shame you havent made the pbo with eliteness, i may have been able to learn about the sensors too . fanatsic job by all concerned . the chinook ,well for everyone that knows when you convert odol to mlod all geometry weight is lost, its not a prob when returned to apache ,but chinook is very difficult to balance in arma using old weight distribution this much i learned myself. and a tip for people wanting to try , take your old data file fromofp res and repbo ad place in a @ folder ,this way when you convert any bis models that have paths to textures in \data\xxx the pathe will be valid and save lots of work during testing. Falken 0 Posted March 9, 2007 I also noticed that the apache is way more fragile than the AH1 and even AH6. two T72s put a few machinegun rounds on me and bought me down.
MrZig 0 Posted March 9, 2007 Hey, I don't think it's unrealistic that a CH47 can do a complete barrel roll at 70 meteres above ground and not crash. I think it's brilliant! ..yeah.. the effort you're puttin out here is great though. nice to see some oldies. The chinook is a favorite of mine.

vipermaul 246 Posted March 9, 2007 Excellent. Now if we can get someone to create the Havoc to balance things out, then we can use this excellent piece of work in the two Team v Team tournaments that are out there.

He means that he's not able to extract the file with Eliteness. I just checked it, it's true (at least with the version I'm using). It's not intended to be that way... Shashman 0 Posted March 9, 2007 Excellent. Now if we can get someone to create the Havoc to balance things out, then we can use this excellent piece of work in the two Team v Team tournaments that are out there. Why would you want a Havoc when there's a Hokum? Why do people always request more in addon release threads? Why can't you be satisfied with the hand for now, leave the arm for later eh Anyway, what's really needed is a Hind. Nice job Mapfact, although the Chinook, as well as having the already known bugs, looks really ugly compared to everything else in ArmA, but that's nothing you did. Thanks for the Apache
Sgt_Eversmann 1 Posted March 9, 2007 I will test these units soon nice to see Marco that you did it one thing I'm wondering about: The Chinook, weren't you able to make 50cals on both sides? Think it would be kinda cool or even a lowerable ramp with a 50cal mounted on it
Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted March 9, 2007 I played around with these some today, and the apaches are already finding places in my missions. Good work, mapfact team.
swtx 42 Posted March 9, 2007 I'm having a conflict with other addons problem. If I remove the Map_Misc file from the addons folder the problem goes away. Unfortunately when I remove it I cannot play with the new Mapfact toys. Anyone else having this problem?
