WhoCares 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Did you also run it a second time as suggested in the first post. With the 640MB RAM of the GTS I'd expect all textures to be preloaded. Though I never got such bad results, even with other applications running in the background, vsync=on/off, ... Very odd
twoodster 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Yup, the second pass runs just as badly as the first
CanisDEK 1 Posted December 6, 2006 2272 - and that's after I spent 330quid on an 8800GTS!! Athlon 64 3500 2gig Crucial DDR400 ram Hmmm there must be something wrong with your system. That low score doesn't really fit your system. Sometimes people save some money by buying a cheap MB and they have nice hardware sitting on a crap MB resulting in a crap system. I don't know what components you have used... but something is not right.
twoodster 0 Posted December 6, 2006 I managed to get it up to 3100ish by adding the memory line to the startup command. Still seems very low in comparison to similar systems though. The problem definately seems to be with the textures not loading quick enough or something - the hard disc clunks like hell on the runway sequence and the spinning camera tests. I've got the downloaded version - is there a problem with that at all?
WhoCares 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Actually it might be that at these settings the game is CPU limited. Esp. when looking on other results, e.g. with the GF7xxx 256-512MB, Athlon A64 and X2s..., they are mostly in the 2k-4k range. Compared to my results (as I have these best in mind) it mostly correlated to the CPU and better GFX cards didn't matter very much. Just to compare it with my results on page 2, could you also make a run (or 2 ) @1280x1024 & 'Very High'? I could imagine that if you activated post processing, Anisotropic Filtering and other settings that are solely handled by the GPU (no additional CPU load) you would still have similar results. Herbert0100 0 Posted December 6, 2006 i get same performance on 8800 gtx e6600 2gb 800mhz ram really bad
twoodster 0 Posted December 6, 2006 On 1280x1024 - Very High...........I get..............1992! Impressive stuff! Interesting that you have the same problem Herbert. Perhaps we've chosen the one stupidly expensive graphics card that doesn't actually work with the game Although saying that, someone else said they had a GTX and were getting 8000 odd. WhoCares 0 Posted December 6, 2006 There have been three other results posted with e6600+GF8800GTX which score 6-~9k - so the game should run fine with the card...

binkster 0 Posted December 6, 2006 I think its more cpu and memory. My first score on page 2 was 6479 at 3.2ghz memory is at 800mhz 5,5,5,14 and i changed cpu to 3.38ghz and changed memory to 4,4,4,12 and got 6856. I dont want to push my cpu any farther with just stock fans. But I can be well over 7k at 4ghz im sure....
