ArmA Photography

Recommended Posts

is this blur

a) photoshopped

b) only in scripted sequences

c) actually while playing ArmA wow_o.gif

And pleeease keep them coming. notworthy.gif

Well... i just used classic "camera.sqs" and that's it. I even don't know how to switch it off :P

While playing you'll met DOF only when aiming over sights.

All the blurryness - is that from the setaperature command, or is it natural eye focusing?

High Definition Range.

Depth of Field actually.

should be something with camsetfocus[distance, blur]

_camm camsetfocus [2, 500]

try either 0 or 1000 instead of 500. Let me know what the result is.

Booyaa!! yay.gifyay.gif

One question to Placebo, (if you're still here) Is the version that is on store shelves now a different version than what we have recently seen from the press? (Tescali and PCgames blog or some such)

Can't wait to get my grubby hands on this when it comes out in the UK..doubt I could wait for the US due to there being a possibility of none here...saving up for one of them real expensive cards too,its just one of those games I must view in full beauty.

Although perhaps not necessarily the right time, there is one silghtly off topic question I would like to ask,is the file type they use for vehicles pbo still?

I'll ask other questions in a more question related topic.

So why don't someone set the ArmA setting to lowest possible and take a few screenshots so I can see what to expect...seeing that my computer sucks atm and it can barely manage the minimum specs sad_o.gif

One thing, seeing as people are curious about system specs, performance and all other kinds of things for now we will allow conversation in here, so go crazy smile_o.gif

Ok. Sorry. One more time here:

Intel Pentium IV 3GHz, 1Gig RAM, X800... in other words - bottom of the recommended configuration.

Oh man, that looks great, what fps do you get?

normally such talk would not be allowed, but seeing this is the first release of ARMA, it is temporarily allowed.

What viewdistance are you running on, Ian? And what FPS, if such a calculation is possible?

Oh. I don't know... default. 1200 meters i guess... but even on 5000 it was still playable. FPS on hi details i have around 20 according to FRAPS. On low settings around 40.

Just two more images:

ArmA_sshot08.jpg

ArmA_sshot09.jpg

And one for comparsion.

On hi settings:

ArmA_sshot10.jpg

And the same scene with very low settings:

If you would be so kind (in your ever expanding list of requests), would you please shove a hundred or so units onscreen (including east and west) in the editor and let us know what the performance is like? thanks you ever so much for the pics and feedback!!! thumbs-up.gif

Everything looks awesome, one question though... the badge on the tankers arm... is that a vityaz logo or did BIS took the original and made it to a tanker badge???

Or is this the first self edited texture for ArmA?

Quote[/b] ]Intel Pentium IV 3GHz, 1Gig RAM, X800... in other words - bottom of the recommended configuration.

nice!!

here AMD Sempron 2800+ , ASUS 9600XT 128 MB and 1,5 GB RAM

hope I can play it....

with a PII 500 Mhz and a Voodoo 3 (rockz) I play a lot with OF so maybe I will can play ArmA with my actual (really old) baby....

Ian I´m sure BIS optimize the game engine in great way like they did in the past so you can play and see the units like that with your PC...

AMD Antholon XP Processor 2800+ ATI Radeon 9600 series 1 gig hope I can play too guess Ill have to wait in see around Dec.
