Jackal326 1181 Posted September 24, 2006 The M16A2 has a fixed carrying handle, so you can't mount on Elcan on the upper receiver rail. Depending on the firing modes you've coded its either an M16A3 (same-semi-auto) or an M16A4 (safe-semi-burst).
Sled88 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Damn you are right! Ok then I change it into M16A3!

Really good textures, now make them desert too! JW
Sled88 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Yeo but first I will add all other units to the woodland camo pack... A Special Ops Unit is in creation now... This will be the last additional unit to this pack... Then we got 7 different soldiers!
Blackbuck 9 Posted September 24, 2006 i likes this addon, that m24 would look good with my sniper in the UCS pack
olemissrebel 0 Posted September 24, 2006 please don't call these or associate these with the us army...
Average Joe 0 Posted September 24, 2006 They have a quite a futuristic feel to 'em, im impressed
Myst9999 0 Posted September 24, 2006 please don't call these or associate these with the us army... Why's that? I like these units, thay actually look like soldiers to me, bulked up with all the amour and equipment they carry. Most other units I see look far too skinny. nephilim 0 Posted September 24, 2006 oh my... these are really bad honestly.. 1st most of the parts dont have any shading at all just a plain texture > add shading 2nd the cloth texture looks like taken from a cotton/wool sweater. > look up real bdus for the ripstop structure 3rd. ammopouches should have uniforms colors yours have like either a light green lash and olive base or a bdu base with too small pattern.> improve this! the helmet is indeed to small if youre aimg for a MICH. anyway that ArmA unit thread name is just pulling legs honestly... clever eyecatcher for poor units that dont even match a bit to the arma units. The US-Arma units are kinda some pseudo us-army guys in acu bdu´s but using us marine gear.. (lol) LWH helmets Lite headsets and that stuff.. pretty weird :P anyway despite my harsh words dont get yourself loose. just keep on practicing. cheers
IDF-Godzilla 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Awsome work! Only one thing bothers me, will they be realised with these weapons? I would like to see some units with ACOG's
Thunderbird 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Nice progress thus far, but with no offense, these soldiers models should not be called "US", due to their inaccuracy at all grades as it has already been stated, you should call them something else imho, maybe a kind of Mercs corps derived from US paramilitary troops, it's up to you, though and keep up your efforts to improve. regards Thunderbird84
CanadianTerror 0 Posted September 24, 2006 @nephilim Bad compared to who? Its been said like 10 times that they arent realistic and that there are things to be improved upon. Give the guy a break and compare the latest to the first shots that were posted. Arm Ass...well no. But theres a lot of effort here.
nephilim 0 Posted September 24, 2006 sorry i jsut got back from a 2 weeks trip and saw the thread :P didnt go thru the whole pages sorry i know i should but still they could be improved alot more.. judging from the latest pics
Rogue Warrior 0 Posted September 24, 2006 The finish is zinc parkerize. Phosphate is a porous crystalline coating of zinc or manganese phosphate produced on ferrous metal surfaces. Zinc Phosphate: # Excellent for holding oil and adhering to paint # Improves lubricity # Gray in appearance Manganese Phosphate: # For prevention of metal-to-metal contact # Wear Reduction # Coat is a base for dry film lubricants # Black in appearance In other words... You can park and leave it or paint over it. in ANY color you want.

action man 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Use bin view to save the bin as a cpp.http://www.ofpec.com/OFPResources/tools/BinView.zip Forget it! When you open res bin and try to save it as cpp, when you convert it back you will get all sort's of unexpected problem's. If you want to use the outdated converted cpp 1.91 cpp go ahead! Don't beleive me read this click I think i may regret posting this, because when ever the topic as come up in the past i have been told it "could" be ilegal posting res cpp/bin's.
