robert(uk) 0 Posted November 17, 2006 Hey all!Im from Estonia and from EU and wohoo first post here Poland is  thousand  kilometre from me and they got these 28/11/2006 and Russia is naber country  and they got early than Poland. How long Estonia guys have to wait until armed assault game arrive to Estonia all store.  Hi mate. This question pops up very frequently on these forums.  As far as I know, the Russian publisher Akela will be distributing the game in the Baltic States, so look out for it at the same time as the Russians get their copies. Hope this helps...
undead6001 0 Posted November 17, 2006 I'm from Estonia, too. It's a small country, but I think there are many Flashpoint fans here. I hope someone confirms that Akella will release it here. ps. If they release it here then it's very likely going to be in English because games here usually aren't translated into Estonian. So, um, perhaps this will be the first chance to get an English version? I will let everyone know if and when it gets released here. (edit)
eestikas88 0 Posted November 17, 2006 probably it'll be in russian but hell with that,i'm learning russian atm. so i'll play it anyway
Avena Quaker 0 Posted November 17, 2006 Ouch I just hope they make the downloadable option avaliable and I will buy it asap... I understand nobody would like to distribute the game at this side of the world we are a tiny market.
Grunt_AS 0 Posted November 17, 2006 Zorbtek "America and a few other countries get just about EVERYTHING before everybody else does.  Suck it up, take the shit end of the stick for once and wait it out, I'm pretty sure you can wait a few 80+ more days.  Jesus will let you play Armed Assault before he comes back." redface "your reaction is very unfair to BIS this is not about Outer Mongolia. the way it is now, BIS is simply giving precedence to its target sales markets. The allegiance to the game in eastern Europe countries has been considerable due to OFP 1 thematics. and Germany is simply an important gaming country, partly due to the school system (lots of pupils/students with free time on their hands). you should blame the publishers for not being more eager to launch this title." wmk "hmm.. I hope you used "outer mongolia" as a metaphor only... (I have nothing against Mongolia but comparing this far east country to Poland or Chech Republic is an evidence of.... guess what. And who said that every new (computer) game should be released in north america first??? --have you ever heard of the japaneese console games..?? or European movies which usually can be seen in european theaters first...? (and sometimes need to be re-produced for the specific US audience before showing them in usa." Firstly....Zorbtek...I do not need to take any S**t from you at all...or any one else for that matter. My point was and still is that this staggered release makes abosultly no sense to me. Got it...to ME...it may be different for you. I can understand  a week or 2...or maybe a month....but 3 months? And for that Jesus comment....shame on you...you DO NOT know me...so DO NOT make any assumptions about my religious convictions/beliefs....childish stuff indeed. Secondly....redface....it was never about Outer Mongolia at all and I realize that the game has been produced in Eastern Europe and yes perhaps they should be first in line....but when Codemasters released OFP...was it done in this manner...I do not think so....correct me if I'm wrong. I am mearly stating my opinion  on this release strategy...and if you do not like it...too bad....and about the stundents/pupils with free time on thier hands...they should be worrying about thier marks....not about whether then can play games....or is this a new wave in education that I missed out on. Thirdly....wmk...I was NOT comparing Outer MOngolia to ANYBODY....so just what are you implying...I was simply saying that Outer Mongolia will probably get the game before we do here in CANADA....ya thats right.....Canada. I am not an American....so take your attitude elsewhere....your assumptions are unfounded....and quite frankly uncalled for. Am I still am an unhappy camper.....hell yes...and THAT is my right...it is MY opinion....and I am sticking to it. If you think I am wrong fine....so be it...but leave your flames at the door thank you very much. I usually do not engage in this kind of rebuttal crap.....but you guys crossed my line in the sand.... Who says everything has to be releasd in North America first.....not me. I simply was saying why was BIS not thinking about a more global approach to this release rather than a gradual regional approach??? So far nobody has came up with a viable answer.....just flames. Grunt_AS 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Zorbtek.....I guess the word "you" does not mean the same thing to me....as it does to "you"...whatever "you" say bud. I'm not going to debate with "you"...because obviously I'm not talking to or about "you"... .....so I guess I will just talk to myself and say....man...I really hope that there Armed Assault arrives here in the frozen North soon.....but then again I guess I am just dreaming about being in my Yurt in Outer Mongolia....and having it arrive before spring... . Stealth3 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Argentina Heh, appart from Africa, South America will be the lowest market. My assumptions so far: -Most of Eastern Europe gets the game in 2 months (Not including the countries where its published already. -Western Euope gets the game in 3 months -Australia in about 5 months -North America in 5-6 months -South America in about 8 months -Online distributioin in at least 3 years So far there are only 2 companies offering online distribution. And EA downloader is bugged to hell and currput. Steam is very successful but took a long time and lots of resources to perfect. I doubt BIS has the time or resources to do such thing in the next 3 years.

Ase290406 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Hey people, If ArmA might be shipped to Israel (As Placebo wrote) I'm sure it will find it's way to North/Latin America eventually. I mean it's N1 in Chech Republic today so publishers in the U.S and beyond will see the profit from this sooner or later. @Placebo- Thanks for the info, and the E-mail adress. (Shamless advertising of own country) I think ArmA would go nice in Israel. Lots of us have military expirience to appriciate such a product. (End of Shameless advertising for own country)
Marshall300 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Question to Placebo Hey Placebo, just wonder why western developers sell their games to Russia...Armed Assault distributed by Akella will cost not more than 4-5 dollars, and in the US the same game will cost about 50 or maybe even 100 dollars per box...In Czech Republic 899 korun (btw how much is it in dollars?) - Is it really profitable to deal with Russia? @Estonian Folks Do you have any other games released by Akella in your stores? If you do, then dont worry, ArmA will certainly be there too...
