I just recieved a reply from IDEA concerning ArmA's status in Australia (being from the Gold Coast, I'm very concered).

I´m glad to confirm we already have a publisher for Australia - unfortunetely I cannot confirm more details at the moment, but there will be an announcement very soon.

I'm surprised they didn't find an Aussie-publisher earlier. Isn't Australia BIS' biggest market, if you look at the ratio of bought games/player? AFAIK, Australia was the only place in the world were people in general enjoyed Elite and didn't whine about bad graphics.

Wonder about other Southern Hemisphere countries, e.g. South Africa. I suspect I will be downloading the version sold online. Too bad we pay for bandwidth here, are restricted to a few gigs per month. AA might cost a little more than the advertised price Still, I'm sure it will be worth it

Yeah, maybe its the case that they think ArmA will be a bit too 'serious'. Fine then, Im sure when it comes out it will show them that there is a market out there for serious war simulations (other than flight sims).
