Messiah 2 Posted August 1, 2006 Well, we did promise you a release for a fair while now, and because we're nice people here at UKF, we've got a sizable one at that. Today we're happy to announce the release of the WMIK Pack 2, and the UK Weapons pack 2. The WMIK Pack 2 release is a very much overhauled addon since the first release. New models, new textures, new weapons and lots of work to improve performance and framerates has been done. The new pack includes a MILAN mounted vehicle in both NATO green and desert schemes, a 4th crew slot, a front basket, completely reworked suspension, L1A1 HMG, camo nets and much much more. The LOD's have been revisited to ensure smoother playability, and included with this release is a patched version of our original Land Rovers, fixing some issues in scripts that can cause problems in MP. Its taken a long time to get this addon completed, so we hope its been worth it. We have gone back to our old weapons pack, and overhauled some of the weapons, updating SA80 textures to the current spec of the A2, reworking the GPMG model and textures entirely, making the clansman compatible with CoC Unified Artilery, updating the LAW 80, updating the entire weapons package to accept the new Jam 3 magazines and generally having a spring clean through the config. We've also included many more weapons now in service in the british armed forces, including: - Diemaco C8A1 with ACOG/ELCAN sighting systems, M203/AG36 grenade launchers, silenced and unsilenced and all versions also come in a desert paint scheme in common usage with British SF. This Diemaco pack does not represent the entire Diemaco range, and nor is it the modern A2 versions. It is a compact, yet complete archive of the Diemaco's seen in use with British SF, and their own modifications to the weapons. Huge thanks to Jackal for allowing us to modify his M4 models and textures, and the Lowlands Warrior Mod for their M203 model/textures. - UK Sidearms, which includes both the Browning High Power Mk3 and the Sig Sauer P226 (also comes in a silenced version). - Ironsights versions of all the original SA80/LSW weapons. - Javelin Anti-Tank weapon, featuring accurate top down attack mode. - SA80k (Stubby) as used with armoured regiments. - LMG with SUSAT - SA80/LSW (SUSAT & Ironsight) BFA attachments (Blank Firing Attachment) and blank ammunition, intended for use with the many British MP squads in their training programs. LMG & SUSAT requires the UKF Weapons pack - specifically ukf_slmg.pbo) We're also very pleased to present a demo mission showcasing all of the released addons, created by our retired leader, and GOTF server lord, Rhodite. The mission will give you a sense of what the different weapons are capable of, and what punishment the vehicles can take, and give out. We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we have. The mission requires the aforementioned addons, and also the UKF DPM pack. Cheers guys. Edit - Thanks to Jackal and Scotty picking up a couple of typo's in the readme's, here are corrected ones: http://www.project-ukf.com/Messiah/ReadMeUKFSidearms.txt http://www.project-ukf.com/Messiah/ReadMeUKFWeapons.txt

honchoblack 2 Posted August 1, 2006 A most excellent release, fits perfectly to all the quality that was released the last couple of days, if it wasnt so hot outside I would believe its christmas. With all these fantastic new toys I look forward even more to the DPM2 pack, featuring the long awaited desert DPM. Unfortunatly the links to the demo mission dont work.
