Perhaps not a 'best shot', but a damn funny one to watch as a spectator, was yesterday in DMA ScudHunt on our squad server. I was armed with a PKM, and spotted 2 Mi-8s approaching us, searching for us. I shouldered my MG, and let rip. A few more squeezes of the trigger, and the enemy pilot was bailing, poor guy, way too low, if only AI weren't so suicidal at times

It doesn't end there. Satisfied and feeling rather chuffed with the kill, I turn around to show off to my squadmate, only to hear the rushing air sound of a heavy object approaching me at a very high pace...The empty, smoking, bullet-ridden Mi-8... Needless to say, the Mi-8 and I became one

Haha, that reminds me. I played a cops 'n' robbers map a couple of months back. I was the robber and had the police flying round me in choppers. I knocked two of their birds down quite easily because I had plenty of ammo. When they only had one chopper left I was starting to run dry on ammo. Took position in Kost and started taking well-aimed shots. The pilot was excellent so it was really hard to get a clear line of fire. When I only had one round left, the chopper was coming straight towards me. Now or never. Blam! Straight in his face. I cheered and laughed in the in-game chat, only to find out about 2 seconds later that the crashing chopper was heading straight into my face. Ouch.

Wouldn't know my ''best'' shot. Often for me it is easier a kill with a cold barrel shot, or wasting all of my ammo and still not killing the target. Some days are truelly crap

Sniper rifle (not counting + .50 cal weapons) about 2000m

Assault rifle about 1000m

Heavy weapons as far as I can see

LAW/RPG75 kill about 900m.

I managed to snipe a Tonali soldier at 500+ meters with a pistol! Ta-da!

Shot another player in the head who was piloting an OH-58 approximatly 500m away and 60m high with an M60 machinegun (iron sights).

And who knows if this counts but Hornet85 came close to hitting me with indirect fire from an RHS OSV-96 from an oil tanker about 700m offshore through dense fog with the aid of my corrections.

I don't know if it was the best, but certainly the luckiest. Shot down a moving AH-1 at maybe just under 500 meters with Kegetys' AK-107. One shot.

i got a few a vaugly remember... been a while since iv had a proper go of OFP online and proper SP missions (not just messing around in the editor which i do from time to time)

One was a 2 vs 2 sniper battle in some small down on one of the CWC islands. the last few minutes of the match, mine and his team mates where both dead already. We both had no idea where the other was, it turned out we was on oppisite sides of a vally with a town in the middle. At the esact same time we both broke cover to run to the town, we also happen to be right in each others field of veiw! little to say this was a extreamly intense moment...he paused to lay down, I quickly smashed my F key to do that slow walking thing and poped of one single shot in his general direction not expecting to hit any thing but just a vain attempt to buy some time to get to cover. To my suprise (and his and the birdy spectators) i hit him square inbetween the eyes from a good distance away. After that there was a lot of 'OMFG HAXORZ'

Another time that comes to mind is over LAN with one of my friends, a quick mission i set up. we both had cessans (sp?) planes fitted with machine guns via scripts. After a few comicle manovers threw the streets of nogova i manged to get right behind him and let up a burst of bulletes, BANG right into the back of his shattering the back window of the plane. class.

Also in the same LAN session i was ontop of a building while my mate was in a cessan plane trying try to strife me with machine guns and i armed with nothing more then a kozlice. I won!

last time i remember was another LAN session with another mate of mine, one of the originial DM missions for CWC. I jumped into a tractor, and started to try and run him over. Suddenly a burt of bullets smash the window, i fall out the tractor dead and it veer of the road crashing over a garden fence. I never laughed so hard in my life, it was one of thoughs things you'd have to be there to see.

I accidentally clicked the left mouse button,it was a suprise that i hit him.AI,as dumb as they are,did nothing,they just stared at the body.

I sneaked up to the base, sniped the sentries from cover with my HK then moved into the base, wasted the entire garrison, and got into a T80. I started blasting away all the vehicles with the tank's gun when I notice two Hind gunships flying in front of me from my left to my right at a slow speed, side by side. I aimed carefully at the close Hind and fired a Sabot. The Sabot slammed into the first one, and it spun out of control into the Hind beside it. One Shell - Two Choppers

The funniest one, though, was when fooling around on Lechistan in one of the cities. I poked around the corner to see AI coming straight at me. In the very last moment I noticed I'm out of ammo and switched to pistol.... a flare gun actually... ....nevertheless, a hit in the head did the trick....

One of my best was also my accidental, i aimed at a Russian Jeep, fired my LAW intending to hit it, he decided to drive off just before i fired, I missed, lucky for the Driver of the jeep, not so lucky for the guy that was using the jeep for cover

Best 'suprise' close range shot:

Was playing on SES server, split up in two teams and bought took place on a hill overlooking an OPFOR camp in the valley. During the assault, an enemy partol took us by suprise, but we managed to shoot them all except one who managed to escape. I decided to hop in my armed vehicle (again with MK19 ) and try to find him before he could sneaked up on us by suprise again. Unfortunatly i lost him and decided to take place on the hill ridge again and continue the assault. 10min. later as most of the camp was cleared we decided to have a closer look at the camp.

I was laying with back to car about 5m of it...so i turn around... that 'lost' unit was standing at 1m of my car (with his back to me) JUST looking very interested in our armed vehicle without engaging me (he had a clear view on me). Although i offcourse could had asked the guy if he liked the piece of armor and wanted to have a ride with me...but i just shot him in the back .

(got to love AI sometimes, but they can make you jump in the air by surpise alot)

Mine was from one side of CAT afgan airport runway to the other, about 2500m, with a .50 Cheyene TAC rifle with HE rounds. Infact it was so far i had to aim roughly 30m above his head so thats all i could see at the bottom of my scope, fired and waiting around 5seconds for impact, blew him 20ft in the air

Took approcimately 2-3 rounds for correction, he was careless walking from left to side.

Never been a great shot but two most accomplished moment in OFP were in SP (Still an MP virgin )

First was with BAS delta type addon in Tonal, when our crashed blackhawk came under attack the AI rescue force and myself conducted a gallant (and painfully carefully set up) local mobile defence as well as firing from inside the wreck itself.

When the African militia forces unexpectedly started circling around our position ( I think due to the hills AI paths more than inhuman cunning) I ran out of cover to stop an AI RPG gunner from firing into the crash sight, then I discovered myself out in the open with 14 or so HD blokes spraying in my direction so I did what any gucci BHD afterglow DeltaHaxor would do and calmly ran towards the enemy firing as I went, killed 10 or twelve blokes with one magazine, then emptied my masterkey into another bloke before switching to pistol and managing to panic fire the final enemy to death.

Quite the rush.

The Second instance also involved Tonal (and I think Code Blue beta testing units) an M240/GPMG and a large number of enemy running through a narrow mountain pass on the outskirts of that abandoned city.

My best "shot" was a couple of years back, OFP MP Demo!!! Don't remember the mission, I only remember I was East playing against two west human players. I don't remember exactly how I got where I was but I was pretty close on foot to an M60 tank controlled by another human player... he was too close for a shot so he tried driving me over but I kept twisting and turning and evading him for about like 3 minutes or so, so he got so mad he got out of the tank, then I grabbed the tank and drove HIM over!!!

This hardly counts as a great shot but it made me laugh at the time. The game was a winter CTF - the east and west uniforms were very similar, being all white with only minor differences in webbing. It was quite late in the game and most of the vehicles had been destroyed. An enemy player was driving a BMP ambulance around turned-out. Seeing me, he drove over to offer a lift, mistaking me for one of his teammates. As he rolled to a halt a single round to the head left him slumped over the controls and me the proud owner of a shiny new BMP !

I've had a number of instances in games where I've put a G36 burst into a target and been rewarded with a second kill where one of their teammates just happened to be further off in the line of fire - I can't claim to have planned this though !

I witnessed an excellent shot last night. I was sitting next to the pilot in the BIS Mi-8, when I saw a lone tracer come off a hill, and smack my mate in the face. I heard the sound were bullet hits face and he was laughing over TS at the propect that 13 other guys in the chopper are about to die.

One of my best shots would probably the KA-50 wich was flying full speed. We had a base with CTI on nogova near Petrovic (we like to build our base close to the frontline) and we were under air attack and since there was no AA to defend the base (as usual) I shot the KA-50 out of the air with a LAW but to say it was really my best shot?, naaaah, it is more becoming a sort of hobby to shoot choppers out of the air with a LAW

But my best shot was probably a BMP in a official coop match online from about 500 meters with a LAW. We had one LAW left and one BMP. It was from great importance that I took that BMP out of action and thank God I DID !! so that must be my best shot, well at least most apriciated by my fellow clan members

Best shot for me was playing around with DAC on Everon. I was at the airport near the gas tank. I could hear enemy armor coming so I moved down to the building with the guard shack. I had one LAW.

Shortly, I see a BMP moving behind the trees up to the left. It was probably 300 meters or so. I shot as the BMP moved out of site behind some trees. I hit it as the explosion was huge!! I remember thinking that damn that was a huge explosion (as compared to normal).

Later, I moved down and noticed that I had hit the BMP and it had exploded right next to another BMP which exploded seconds later.

Now for lucky - I had created a scenario on New Saraguao and had cleaned out a base of enemy spetznaz. I was standing in the middle of their base when I realized that there was one enemy who had popped smoke and ran. I had forgot about him.

Suddenly, I did a 180 and there he was, 30 meters behind me and he had just dropped to his knee and was aiming a RPG at me. I fired (thank God for burst mode) at the same time he did and the next thing I know I am flying through the air. Death cam showed his riddled body though!!

I love using the sniper rifle and throughout the many years of playing Flashpoint I've had many a superb shot. My most impressive moments are when I sit in a hide and start taking targets at range. Moving targets and the like. I can take out about 25-25 targets from 30 rounds usually.

I had my brother sitting next to me one time whilst he was playing a different game on another PC. I called hit every time I hit a guy and miss every time I missed. I killed about 40 guys I'd placed with about 35 rounds from about 500m. Top bombing.

My best shot would probably be when you are running, then you stop and fire right when your rifle is brought up to fire. You dont even aim but manage a headshot or something.

But recently one of the better kills in OFP I have seen was eating an RPG. I was messing with the Toyota Wars addons as a civilian, just walking through the fire fights watching the battle. Anyway I am slowly walking for some cover when I see something comming at me, it all happened in seconds so I couldnt react. At first I just froze to see what it was, but it turns out it was an RPG coming straight at me. I have never seen one from that angle, dead on, so I didnt know what it was.

I was a civilian so it was a freak accident, some Libyan must have been aiming at something behind me. But when it hit me in the face I kinda did a back flip.

Wow The Architect! Nice shooting. I go through a couple of clips for one squad! I can barely see the enemy (through normal sights) at 500 meters.

Up above, I said lucky because the goal was to clear the island of enemy and he was the last one!

Speaking of sniper rifles - there is one that comes with the LSR Delta's that is so freakin powerful it is unbelievable. It must be a 50 caliber. When I have the speakers turned up that thing cracks so loud my dogs start whimpering! You can kill a guy by shooting him in the leg!

Would that be an M82 Barrett AMR .50cal by any chance? They can shoot through light armor (a BDRM for example) and concrete walls. Generally used for desposing on unexploded bombs, and available in the United States to anyone with a Class 3 license (I believe class 3 anyway) for around $7,000.
