matt54 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Videos. the multiplayer looks fun. cant really complain. looks alot better than GR2 and much more like GR1. hope its as good as they say it is.
Blake 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Looks arcadish, hopefully it is not going to be another disgrace to R6&GR series. The guy in MP video seems to run yet it seems he's moving on tracks or something, seems way to stable movement.
Antichrist 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Watched a gameplay video about a week ago. The game looks extremely crap. Just trust me on this one. It will be an arcade. There is nothing else to it. Save your money for drugs or alcohol instead.

Save your money for drugs or alcohol instead. Â Did you know that... There are diferent developers working on diferent platforms? And that the PC version (developed by an external developer) is supposed to be more tactical and realistic . All the videos available to date are xbox360 footage? http://www.ghostrecon.com/ss/GRAW_PC_060131_Interface_01.jpg And the pc version will feature modable weapons (atachments) and a weight system . I dont know if the PC game will look has good has the xbox360 one but i find it promissing and you all have to admit that the 360 does look and sound amazing. I wouldnt judge it so fast, atleast not yet .
sanctuary 19 Posted February 2, 2006 That's great to see so many attachements, but unfortunately the most important one is missing.
Heatseeker 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Capuccino , thats the greatest idea, if you can handle, reload and aim the rifle without spilling the capuccino you must be indeed a very advanced soldier . Im interested in the weight system and the fact that diferent atachments will actually serve a porpuse other than being useless eye candy. I never felt good about R6 letdown but im somewhat confident in the pc version of GRAW .

llauma 0 Posted February 3, 2006 It looks very nice but so does the latest UT things, after all this is closer to UT than OFP. An action packed adrenaline rush that is.
Blake 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Decent Ghost Recon series turned into mediocre shoot 'em up mess like Rainbow Six: Lockdown. Sad but true
mojo-jojo 0 Posted February 4, 2006 What an incredible waste of talent! This might have been a really good game.
funnyguy1 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Really, It will be great.... Better solution would be another mission/expansion pack for old good GR. I wonder when will mr Clancy break those contracts/licences(?) with them. I mean, how bad the "Tom Clancy`s GRAW2" has to be?

Heatseeker 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Well, i know the game wont be a port and i know an outside developer is working on the PC version using their own proprietary game engine, i also know they are having a diferent aproach towards this version so i think it deserves the benefit of doubt . The Frenchman 0 Posted February 5, 2006 I'm disappointed how they downsized the squads in GR2 and GRAW. We wanted more squad members not less!

Heatseeker 0 Posted April 8, 2006 The boys over at ghostrecon.net had an interesting meeting and hands on time with the PC version of GRAW, i just read this very interesting preview. Sounds very good... some small quotes: Quote[/b] ]...Mission insertion was by Hercules transport plane. The rear door opens and you and your team walk out, and yes, you are now parachuting downward to your task: Mexico! Quote[/b] ]...The levels are massive, quoted as being 2 to 3 times bigger than the Xbox 360. I stop now so i dont quote the whole preview . Also read that BH fastrope insertions will be present in SP and MP coop somewhere. I think this will be a very HW demanding game but its looking very promissing, the arcadeness of the console versions might damage the image of the PC version but i will definetly keep a good eye on this . Nemesis6 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Well... It is a bit arcadish, but I think they got a little bit of it right. But still - FPS GAMES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED ON CONSOLES!
BlackScorpion 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Sounds very good... some small quotes:Quote[/b] ]...The levels are massive, quoted as being 2 to 3 times bigger than the Xbox 360. I have a feeling that this doesn't quite compare to OFP - last time I checked it, the Xbox 360 didn't have an area of few square km's... so the maps are feckin' small! shadow 6 Posted April 9, 2006 You guys really should read some more about GRAW before you write such nonsense. [*]GRIN and only GRIN is making the PC-version. They did'nt do the console version. [*]The PC-version is 1st person only, not over the shoulder look like the console version. [*]GRIN are old-time fans of GR1 for the PC and have promised that they make the game for the original fans. [*]All the arcadey features (such as the diamonds on friendlies) can be turned off. [*]All weapons have ironsights. [*]Bo Andersson(Lead producer at GRIN) is ex Swedish special forces. [*]So far all GR1-fans who have tried the game at Ubi have been extremely impressed. [*]The PC maps are 2 to 3 times the size of their Xbox360 counterparts and so is the viewdistance. I think its definitely hope for GRAW PC. Looking forward to testing it out. It has alot of cool features on how the weapon configurations affects your movement. If you're right-handed you won't be able to lean as much to the left as you are to the right. Put a sound-supressor on your weapon and you get a accuracy-penalty. Put a grenadelauncher on your weapon and it adds weights and affects overal how far you can lean etc. I suggest you all read this preview

Its a diferent game, its not meant to be has big has good oll OPF . I think it will have some similarities with AA:SF but with better gameplay, next gen graphics, new army tech, big ass maps, MP coop, etc. Hopefully the netcode will be up to it, i want this game . BlackScorpion 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Hmmm, thanks Shadow, maybe this is worth looking for after all. Heatseeker, you missed the point of my post - I was joking. You quoted that the maps were "2 to 3 times bigger than the Xbox 360"... well, literally taken, it means that the maps would be few times bigger than an Xbox 360 console, that's about the size of a phone booth (few sq meters!, so... wildo 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Quote[/b] ]All the arcadey features (such as the diamonds on friendlies) can be turned off. That can be done in GRAW 360 Quote[/b] ]The PC maps are 2 to 3 times the size of their Xbox360 counterparts and so is the viewdistance. To be honest the 360's maps are VERY small, I think the largest one is about 1x1 miles Quote[/b] ]All weapons have ironsights. Thats something that REALLY did my nut in on the 360 version, if the weapon didnt have a sight then sucks be to you, the lazy bastards didnt even put iron sights on ANY of the weapons! Overall I felt more than cheated with the 360 version as it sucked, and I MEAN SUCKED, it gets boring after like 30+ trys of doing ONE mission and getting shot in the foot continuosly and dieing, let along there was some funny fire geometrys in the game and each window showed EXACTLY the SAME reflection. But seeing as the pc version is being developed by a different company hopefully they can pull it out of the rut Wildo

sanctuary 19 Posted April 10, 2006 [*]Bo Andersson(Lead producer at GRIN) is ex Swedish special forces. Isn't that the guy that told the reviewer that he has been trained to cut his throat with just a finger in the case he reported a single bad point of GRAW in his review for GR.net ?
