The quote from Top Gun about flying a cargo plane out of Hong Kong comes to mind about this. That pilot must be really miserable right now. I sort of feel a bit sorry for him/her. No the Pilot wanted to show of his mad skills by performing a maneuver called Return on Target. He has to bring the chopper to a halt, turn 180° and gain speed. If you see EOD Personel running, try to keep up. Cluster Bombing from B52's is very accurate, the bombs always hit the ground. A purple heart just proves you were smart enough to make a plan, stupid enough to try it, and lucky enough to live through it. (Not realy true but funny. Godbless all those who have been wounded in combat) When your short of everything except the enemy... Your in combat. Without ammo the airforce is an expensive flying club. We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction. As the test pilot climbs out of the experimental aircraft, having torn off the wings and tail in the crash landing, the crash truck arrives.
