boo-dro 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I loaded one of the blank missions, Put down an offworld gate and an earth gate, and a DHD (old) and a dialing computer. On the earth gate i init-ed: [this, "earth"] exec "\DSF_SG_DHD\sqs\namedgate.sqs" on the offworld gate i inited: [this, "cimmeria"] exec "\DSF_SG_DHD\sqs\namedgate.sqs" It wont work. Even if I load one of the blank missions, put down two random gates, and use the dialing computer's database, it still doesnt work. Also, Whats the status of the DHD? I do everything as you write, but it doesnt work! make sure you remember to correct the readme from "\DSF_SG_DHD\whateverscript.sqs" to "\DSF_SG_DHD\sqs\whateverscript.sqs" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
johnwilso007 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I get a error that says Reasource Keybored not found when i try to dial out? any help and a pre-made mission that has 2 working gates would be helpfull. if anyone has got the gates working put them on and let us downlaod them so we can get it right please? It already occured before I used Walmis' new DHD so it might be a bug in the stargate mod 1.2 itself. About the archive of DHD 1.2: the download worked fine for me, the archive is not corrupted, try downloading it again. Walmis, I can't find any missions in your shoutbox...? Landorin 0 Posted March 9, 2006 That's weird, the left gate changes its symbols each time I preview the mission in the editor (shouldn't they stay the same?) and I can't dial out from the eastern gate. I'm using the new 1.2 Stargate mod and DHD 1.2 by Walmis. That mission is still not really explaining me what I have to do, I really get lost here. What is that tablet required for? I still get that divided by zero message. And I still don't have a clue what adress I have to dial to establish a wormhole. Could someone finally release a mission with some description of what to do or do we have to continue guessing? I see that thing on the ground without anything written on it and I can't pick it up or anything. Oh, and where is the GDO by the way? Is it implemented in any of the new 1.2 mods yet? That's the first thing I did to adapt my existing mission (and its scripts) to 1.2. The readme only explained what line one should use but it seems to create errors only. Walmis suggested to download the 1.2 gate from his website. I just did that and I no longer get the divided by zero error and I was even able to establish a wormhole with that tablet, that's weird. I thought it's the same file I can get at DSFProductions? Anyways, as a general feedback: unless I didn't do anything the wrong way, it's a biiig pain writing down the symbols on real paper (since I can't leave the tablet open when I want to dial), then try to find the correct symbols which are turned into a different direction on the DHD sometimes (thus making it even harder to find them all) and finally dial out. Took me several minutes and several tries just to dial out finally. I mean, it's cool that you can dial out manually but somehow I get the feeling there should be a 2nd option to let it dial by command (as in the previous version). Maybe offering both options (command and manually) would be more user friendly. Or maybe there is a third option I can't think of that combines the fun of manually dialing and the convenience of command dialing. What do the others think? LOL now THAT's really crazy since it's all fictional but hey, that might help a lot. What's that DHD simulator you mentioned, by the way, can't find it on that website?
