Stargate Mod Released

Since you're the whiz of audio I am curious to learn some new stuff. wink_o.gif

Here's the latest version of my SG-7 mission:

The only change in that version is that it now uses the jaffa pack 1.02 by Walmis. Some of the attacking units will have less accuracy now.

Like the previous version, this mission requires the stargate mod addons (F302, SGC soldiers, stargate, jaffa pack 1.02).

im still trying to figure a script to close the iris

is it just me or did ofp change scripting at some stage ?

i remember a time when we could run all kinds of scripts

within mods using stardard commands like

[unit,1] exec ""

now its all

if a=b getpos<0.1> bla bla bla

wich Never works anyway and the AI gets retarded : / banghead.gif

anyone with genuin ofp brains could do an iris script

(but that aint me or any others yet it seams) rofl.gif

i just cant get my head around this <0.1> kinda stuff banghead.gif

i guess a chevron 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (Talking)

could also be done by a script that checks the animation phase of each chev texture or animation state

but thats beyond me to

anyone noticed modders have implimented this new

animation starting states with more AI control and ideas in many newer mods

yet no one knows how to script them for Ai to do it crazy_o.gif

even the new airwolf mod, the manual animation commands dont work nither yet the old model they do whistle.gif

even if you perfect the AI, ofp is still kinda dumb

seams bizzar you cant just run an irisclose.sqs OR irisopen.sqs

wich should be easier to write than an irsis.sqs with a 1, or 2, command inside it

anyone got any free unused brain cells they can spare help.gif

Hey Guys, Since the release of the sweet F302, we've all been shooting down russian planes and whatnot, so i converted the X301 Addon to a deathglider for use as an "ai" drone.

Its just a small conversion took me about 2 hours, so dont expect too much.

Thanks to the author of the X301 for letting me release this.

I might have some other fun stargate stuff comming up next week.

It is grey, kinda. the DXdll just changes the collor a little

A shame i couldnt get it to fire at soldiers on the ground, and it seems since the last build the fighters dont target flying opposing forces without a waypoint order wink_o.gif

Someday all these cool Stargate addons should be combined on one website so they don't get lost.

Yeah but it'd make more sense if someone would work with the mod designers on a common website. Also, quite many have their own website already. However, it can't harm to have a download mirror site with all the needed addons sooner or later.

well guys i have made a little homepage!!

at first the are not all addons download able but the addons come in packs also i have to make pack download and i don't want it.

can somebody make one pbo file for each addon!

for example:

for p90 a pbo file

für the staffweapon and the Z gun and so on ...

i think it would be better!

Why ? it's really more easy for the add on maker to make 1 pbo with all of his addon. ( for example it's banghead.gif to make many pbos and searching during 30 minutes to find one file crazy_o.gif )
