Hi comerades ,

Thanks for the nice comments and for encouraging us , we're working like crazy on the incoming release , there are still few things which need to get improved , we're working on'em quite hard , btw following the fact that ORCS team allowed to OFPCAT the use of their textures , we'll definately incorporate his 1985 incoming soviet units to the FFUR 1985 woodland pack , well we'll try also to deal with some spetznatz guys to grab the first looking good shilka to the community ,

FFUR Winter soldiers Update :

I've retextured RHS motorized infantry units in the goal to replace kegetys old models for the FFUR Winter pack 1985 , Thanks to RHS team for their great model though

Btw it's a bit hard to find pictures of soviet soldiers of the era 85 wearing the winter motorized infantry uniform's camo , but all pics I found do show something quite closer to the textures I incorporated

You should have the officers wear the "bear hats" (not the British Royal Guard Version, you know what I mean tounge2.gif )

Either that or give them to the police. I know the Russian police wear them. And if you really have time give them great coats, they wouldn't last an hour in their current uniforms in a Winter Nogova! xmas_o.gif

Yeah I see what you've in mind , well , this isn't intended only to officers but to a whole squad , it's a different uniform inspired from the WWII winter one , unfortunately we don't have enough of time to make a new addon , we'll have to deal with RHS retextured soldiers though.

Just a suggestion in regards to the potential design of the future shortcuts.

Perhaps the FFUR shortcut could be made out of different substances. For example, the shortcut for the desert version could be made out of sand, the shortcut for the winter version could be made out of snow and ice, the shortcut for the woodland version could be made out of green plantlife, the shortcut for the "2005" version of FFUR could be dominated by large '05 numbers.

Making these shortcuts out of different substances could go a long way towards making it easier to discern which shortcut starts up which version of the FFUR mod.

I might have mentioned this before, but it hasn't been done so far so i'll ask again: the smoke coming from the bullets hitting the ground or buildings has not changed since OFP 1.0, and it looks really bad, so could it be possible to make some more realistic smoke with Vectorbosons drop tool and tutorial (I tried to figure it out but failed). It's the same as the explosions which are more complicated than this, so it should be piece of cake for one who made them to make new smoke efect for the bullet impact. I'm big fan of this mode and i think it could be big improvement to the game.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT SHORTCUTS FOR EVERY VERSION !!!

and there will be different versions ...

FFUR 85 have all the same but are made up different like you said ... and for FFUR 2005 and FFUR surprise we will have new ,too

Russian winter cap

They write that these caps are known as "Uschanka".

Maybe our russian friends know more about that.

East German Army (NVA) used this caps as well and some Police Forces in eastern states of Germany as well until today (without that soviet symbol of course).

Changed too , Impacts on snow occur a white effect , on desert, it occurs a yellow effect , and on the mud , there's a black/brown effect.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but while I was playing the first mission of the resistance campaign with the Beta version of the mod, I got teleported to an Island near Davle. Has this been fixed?

Yeah , it has been fixed since a while, this was due to a tank sight's problem

Well , some news mates , the work on the surprise pack is going quite good , btw I've suffered a bunch working on this pack cuz there are a lot of classes which do need to get changed,

the release is very close but we still do need a small week to test the whole stuff, the incoming release will be the hugest release ever carried out for OFP and we really hope you will enjoy it, Benus put some nice stuff for ya there too.

lol same here, I hope it lives up to it though. BTW Thunderbird, is there any chance of you using the CSLAIIs FIA vehicles if you dont use the EDF?
