Allright you lazy buggers, HDV wants you for beta-testing. The beta-testing won't start at once, but it's better to be prepared.

There is one rule though, and that is that anyone wanting to apply should send me a PM, and we'll judge by your posts made in this topic whether you are a true fan or not, or just someone that wants to get their hands on the release earlier then the rest. If you are accepted, then I'll send you the required info.

Sorry to all of the kandidates for beta testing who haven't yet received a reply whether or not they are accepted, but I have been having trouble contacting Gavin, so I'll have to wait until he resurfaces.

Forgot to mention, but the recruiting of beta testers ended about a week ago. Due to pure stupidity this wasn't mentioned, so anyone that sent in a request during that period will be considered.

Thanks you ladz for waiting sooo long, work has been delayed we know (so has armed assault it seems lol)

But regardless, the reason for this has been the amount of uni work etc i have. That said, my holidays are coming up in a week, and for that time i will be dedicating enough so that the first release will get finished within 4 weeks.

I know that sounds like ages, but at least you chaps will have an idea and some reassurance that things are still happening

Righto well work is continuing (after a llooong delay which i apolagise for)

In anycase loads of bugfixing has been getting done, and the units are all 99.9% finished (including weapons) meaning we're doing wee things like redoing the menu screen, note-books and watches, all to get the beta completed.

This was the last unit done, which is just a basic horse & cart for the v1 release.

There will be more pics like these posted till the special team test beta is announced, and we're talking days here gents not weeks for that beta now.

I that effect you used on the pictures done in Photoshop? or did you say somthing about kegetys plugin?

Used a remove grain plugin, desaturated the image (black and white).

Added a scratch layer, set it to overlay, around 20% opacity.

Added a yellow layer and set it to color burn to achieve the brownish photostyle of that era.

sorry but the wallpaper is really uggly. you should add a wood background. and change the effects.

And you shouldn't "desaturated" the pic to have a black and white picture, but use some other effects.

hey, i just want to show you, some things that could be to change. It's easy to use photoshop, but difficult to make some great stuffs with it. i spent a lot of time to learn photoshop, and improved my skills (with a GFX team and forum). And hard criticisms helped me much.

but if you don't want some help:

wow. Amazing wallpaper. The best that i have ever seen.

just an exemple, you could use a script. photoshop have some really usefull scripts.
