sanctuary 19 Posted May 6, 2005 What it looks like What is it This addon is in fact the standalone version of the editor that can be found in the actual ECP (notice it is not the one that will be featured in the upcoming 1.075). The interest of this addon is double : -It will change the actual disposition of the buttons and pannels to offer the user a very large surface of work instead of the small area available with the default BIS disposition. -It is totally compatible with any mission, that means it will not add an addon requirement in the mission.sqm , so any mission created with the enhanced editor can be viewed or modified in the classic editor and vice versa without a problem You don't need any other addons download size +/- 150ko ---------------------------------------------------------- Download mirrors (more when available) OFP.info mirror thanks to Hooahman ---------------------------------------------------------- How to install 1-The easy way- --------------- Replace (BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILE FIRST) the file named Ressource.bin from X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Res\Bin\ by the one included in this archive and place the file largeditor.pbo in X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Res\Addons\ or X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Addons\ That's all 2-The Mod way- -------------- Create a new folder in X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\ name this folder by exemple @EDITORPLUS in X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\@EDITORPLUS\ create a new folder and name it " Bin " , then place the Ressource.bin included in this archive there X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\@EDITORPLUS\Bin\ create a new folder and name it " Addons " in X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\@EDITORPLUS\ then place the largereditor.pbo included in this archive there X:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\@EDITORPLUS\Addons\ Then when launching OFP with -mod=@EDITORPLUS added at the end of the Target line of the shortcut you will have the new editor Notice you can start several mods with this new editor , by modifying the -mod=@EDITORPLUS into -mod=@EDITORPLUS;@BAS;@LASER (by exemple to start OFP with the editor and a BAS and LASER mods) Have fun, Sanctuary NOTE If a mod is already using in its own Bin folder a Ressource.bin : do not overwrite it in such ...\modname\bin\ folder, use one of the 2 previously explained ways of installing this addon. Credits All the credits and properties belong to the ECP team, i just put this together with the goal to make this standalone and not addon dependant , and did nothing more and have no right on this. Thanks a lot to Zayfod for allowing this release. Try their ECP 1.071 mod here , it is one of the finest mod available http://www.ofpec.com/editors/ecfg/ And wait for the upcoming ECP 1.075 version, their new incredible work. ag_smith 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Good job Sanctuary, very usefull stuff. Could never be arsed to use the ECP original because of the lag on my shitty PC, but now you gave us standalone version, I'll certainly replace the BIS interface once and forever.
honchoblack 2 Posted May 6, 2005 very nice that you finally release this usefull addon i had the pleasure of working in this big enviroment for quite some time now, and i must say that i dont want to miss it anymore good job Sanctuary, another very usefull addition to OFP
@cero 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Appart for the size and placement of the buttons, is there any other features in it, like a "Debugg" feature or something like it? Thanks. @CERO.
honchoblack 2 Posted May 6, 2005 its "only" the enlargement of the view during mission editing, and the replacement of the buttoms, but if you use the editor alot, you will see that this is an enhancement you dont want to miss anymore, the larger sight keeps you from scrolling/zooming alot

gandalf the white 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Sanc. any way you could shrink the buttons a bit more, so the "editor" buttons would be even smaller? ( = even larger editor). I use it myself, great stuff!
klavan 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Ugly message received: "picture\largeditor\editor_gray_bar1.paa not found" The effect is that the background of the buttons panel is sometimes black or light blue. Here's the launch line: C:\Programmi\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE -nosplash -nomap -mod=@Pedagne;FlashFX;namsky;Locke_AnimMOD;@EDITORPLUS The buttons runs OK: I can save, load a new mission, etc...The background color sometimes change when I load a new file. sanctuary 19 Posted May 6, 2005 This error is happening because in the @EDITORPLUS folder, you have forgot to create an \Addons\ folder and put the largeditor.pbo inside. So you must have @EDITORPLUS\Addons\largeditor.pbo Or just put the largeditor.pbo inside the res\Addons\ folder I forgot to add that part in the readme.txt , but i added this instruction in the 1st post of this thread.
