FlashFx Units Replacement pack 5.0!

These are all the addons I have in FlashFxUR folder

@Pfc_Baskis: hi there, i just looked through your mod folder and found out that you got the wrong nmod_effects, its an old version, the size is to small, it should be 104 kb.

seems like you keept an old addon in the folder and didnt supstitude for the new one wink_o.gif

@tomislav:

1. unpbo the pbo file with the program called "pbo_decryptor15" biggrin_o.gif

2. that creates a folder with the name of the pbo

3. enter the folder and open the config file with an editor

4. change whatever needed (textures models or config)

5. pack the pbo file with a program called "PBOPatcher09"

actually i do have a question, i didnt know if i should start a new topic on this, or post it here, since the flashfxur mod is a mod on the "move" too smile_o.gif

anyway i will ask here then

are the ch-47 and the jeep not changeable through the config? no mod seems too change them, i thought that a version of eecp changed the ch-47 to the bas version once, but not too shure about that, cant find any reference

just search with the editor what you want to change.

under cfgvehicles there is class JeepMG for example, and there you find the path to the model

edit: CH-47 under class Ch47D

you are right tomislav,

the jeep is indeed referenced to in the config, but the ch-47 only has very limited information, no model or picture reference

yes, it seems as if you have to add it manually, but i dunno if it works.

if you don't want to try it out, i can do it, but then you have to wait until sunday

but maybe thunderbird can tell you

but actually i dont really know what ch-47 to use with my config

i am interested to know how to implement it for future use, since i am not far off from just copying and pasting from other configs

just starting to learn the language

just want to be ready when a good marine ch-47 drops by wink_o.gif

edit:nice one eric, just checked the pack out, now it really did answer my question, i allways checked the res/addons folder, totally forgot about the /addons folder, now i can change the ch-47 to whatever i like

No , The version 2.2 isn't really intended to the game 'online' , I've stopped doing replacements for the game "online" because people reported CTD's , so I suggest you to use it only in "single game" smile_o.gif

@Honchoblack,eric51 and Tomislav : I suggest you guys to replace only the CH-47 using the "Y2K3 retextured pack " , because if you replace all addons , that won't respect the years 1980-1985 , but you can do as you wish smile_o.gif

PS : Don't replace all addons using the Y2K3 retextured pack because you'll have errors wink_o.gif

Hey thunderbird, i lost track of what's included and what's not / what went out again. Can you give us a littl summary info again ?

What i'm personally wondering is whether the ai scripts are still included. Someone told me the soldiers are acting more *intelligent* and i wanna try this but without DLing 200MBs of addons & with a CTD again. ;)

uh, i won't play around with your config, that's for sure, ir is really well made, and not easy to find addons from the 80's era.

did you replace the ch47d in your confg?

@])rStrangelove :Just check the first page , concerning the AI scripts , I've kept only 2 scripts "heavy fire , and AI open fire on parachute" because the other ones were the principal sources of lag, wink_o.gif

i got a question. could you possibly add more groups under the groups menu?

now its only tankplatoons (M1, M60, T72 and T80) and infantry squad/Mechanized infantry squad.

i would like recon squad, AT team, AA team, patrol, heavy patrol, M2A2 squad, support squad (Ammo, Fuel and repair trucks + some guard infantry), airlift team, Combat helo team, SF team and stuff like that

same for all 3 sides (as far as possible)

just to make it easier for mission editors.

you have already made so much so why dont go ahead and make it a complete mod with everything that goes with it?

i would be glad to help with ideas and sugestions ;)
