Agreed, I always appreciate when someone puts time and effort into an addon like this. It will add more realistic look to the game, especially to a few large cities I am planning. I hope to see more in the future smile_o.gif

Sweet! This will bring a lot more realism and atmosphere to OFP cities and towns, when combined with existing roadsign, powerline addons.

Looking good!

Good stuff man. Nice work. It'll be nice to see some small things like this on the islands.

Here's a tip for you. Open your models and in every resolution lod use this: press Ctrl+A, then press U for sharp edges. smile_o.gif

Great idea , love the look of it in-game .

It does seem like the game is treating the curb as a round object looking at the way its lit .

As ag-smith explains , selecting the model in O2 and using the sharp edges option " U " . Pressing " I " makes round edges for your streetlights , but you can mix the effects if required .

One other thing that I would highly recommend for this pack is perhaps a parking lot. Parking lots or just some parking lot textures for wrp edit have sadly been missing in OFP.

I am really shocked by the response over sidewalks for ofp.... i never would of thought that something simple like this would be a big hit in the ofp world... but anyway the whole reason for me making this little pack is to compliment ag_smith's addon's, after all whats a modern city or town without sidewalks and curb's, plus i wanted to my island that i have in the making differnt from everyone else's. i wanna thank orson and ag-smith for the tips, thanks guy's i really am greatful for it. i will be posting more screens in the future of the work in progress. i plan on making dfferent types of sidewalks brick, cobble, paving stone, maybe even marble?

thanks everybody for the warm comment's

@ Miles Teg how about parking lots with parking blocks?

Parking lots with parking blocks would be superb!!! I actually made concrete parking blocks in real life many years ago. LOL!

Those are things we kinda take for granted these days.,.but in OFP stuff like that and your sidewalks are definitely missing. Its only when you posted those pics of your sidewalks that suddenly a bell rang in most poeple's head's and everyone was like "Do'h! That's what was missing on maps!!!"

LOL!

So yeah you certainly found a niche in addon making that hasn't been filled yet in OFP and that most definitely will greatly compliment Agent Smith and other building addon makers.

I'm greatly looking forward to your pack. Also I hope that eventually perhaps it will be integrated into a large pack like Agent Smith's pack or Mapfacts stuff or something like that.

That way it will minimize the # of 3rd party addons needed for maps. If not I hope that you will allow map makers to integrate the new objects into their map .pbo files so that everything is self contained in the map (but with of coarse proper credit given to you).

Either way, I hope that your work is used widely in many future maps and map updates.

Wow, great to see that being made.

I was about to model some sidewalks quite some time ago, but had to stop it due to lack of time.

Looks good on the screenshot, but there`s one thing I'd like to know.

On the screenshot there's one corner part for t-crossings.

But will there also be parts for curves (10 25, 10 50, etc.)?

Edit:

Another question:

Will there also be a version without those streetlamps?
