Ox Cart

I made these for Nam style maps but will suit most others

The Ox moo's and swings its head and tail. Legs are animated.

There are 2 usable carts. Plain and hay plus a broken cart, empty cart and destroyed cart.

Some poorly dressed civilians with rucks and old suitcases and the fugitive-mod would almost be done... Will you continue with this and try to make textures and animations even better? No request, just wondering. They are really cool as they are. Thanks for releasing this!

Could a future release include one or more cargo positions inside the haystack? Would be great for those "smuggling" missions!

I havent had time to try it out yet but it looks very nice. I was wondering why no one made something like this before. Suberb work CSJ! biggrin_o.gif

Special Vietnam version with water buffalo would be very nice. Just change the ox to black colour and make the horns long and curved downwards. Also a version with ammo and other supplies would rock! wink_o.gif

water buffalos have thicked legs i think too, more differences than youve posted tho thats for sure, it would need to be totally remodelled, maybe the VW:BB mod would give up their water buffalo for animating and such...

but maybe theyll just wait till 2009 for ofp2 instead wow_o.gif

Great addon man! Might wanna fix the sounds though, cause they can be heard across the whole map. Else superb work I think. Keep up the good work. smile_o.gif

Thanks for comments all.

The ox in model is actually a widely used breed in Asia, including nam. It is also very close resemblence to breeds in Africa. This is why I chose it for model.

A am working on free range 'ferral' Water Buffalo and cattle. So when they are ready I will add WB to carts.

I will check sounds. I havent been far enough away from carts to notice the problem.

OK, hehe. I must admit I modified your addon and removed the sounds. They are good but were driving me mad. I so wanted to include it in my mission that I'm playing with my mate. Hope this is OK. I'm not sharing it to the whole world or anything. smile_o.gif

Its better than I excpected apart from one little thing. The ox has no legs when you start the mission. You have to walk really close then the legs appear and dont vanish anymore.

I tried to make the ox wagon to go over a rice paddy in Ilo Ilo island. The wagon tipped over and the ox was mooing and swinging its head on its side. biggrin_o.gif

The civilians bailed out from the wagon after they tried to do a 1 wheelie biggrin_o.gif

There is a 3 second delay in the init.sqs

I am told this is needed for MP, when starting a game?

I dont know I dont play MP.

I can remove delay if it is not needed.
