Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted January 12, 2005 AH YES!!!!! Â Someone already made a pack using the desert textures, but we were seriously lacking a woodland version with Marfy's textures. And very nice to include a winter version aswell, although those are already included in most winter packs. But you seem to have used Marfy's texure as a base for your winter vehicle, which is very, VERY nice! Great job!! edit; just to check; you did ask permission for using Marfy's textures I hope? lee_h._oswald 0 Posted January 12, 2005 I can't believe! Just made a few minutes ago the woodland trucks. MfG Lee
king homer 1 Posted January 12, 2005 Nice! Nevermind.... lol LHO, that's shit?!
Taconic 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Nice. I too made a MAF woodland pack a while back... Marfy never replied to my emails asking for permission to release it, so I never did. Consider contacting ofp.info. They can provide you with a more reliable (and permanent) mirror.
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted January 12, 2005 @Lee_H._Oswald HAHAHA ROFLMAO!!! Sorry dude, guess he beat you to it.
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Sorry dude, guess he beat you to it. Yes, and it looks like he was using my desert pack for whatever. Just found a texture called "truck_kis_bckxxx" I forgot to delete befor releasing my desert pack. Thanks for not mention my name in the readme... MfG Lee
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted January 12, 2005 hmm, yes I was already afraid of that. Oh well. Nice addon anyway. Except for the winter fuel truck; THe orange patches are the same and stand a 'little' on the winterized part of the vehicle (there's no snow on them, while there should be some)
Kuba 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Verry nice! Always needed something like that
sanctuary 19 Posted January 12, 2005 Great trucks, i will certainly have a use for them ... after converting some of the textures from that .jpg format to the OFP friendly .paa/.pac and after using the texture swap utility to assign them instead of those .jpg that are used. Milkman 1 Posted January 13, 2005 Hah I made a texture replacement pack for these woodland trucks a year ago, guess noone wanted it? Its not exactly an addon so you don't need Marfy's precious permission.
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Maybe because it was only a retexture job....

Taconic 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Its not exactly an addon so you don't need Marfy's precious permission. If you're going to modify somebody else's work, you need their permission. People put hours and hours and hours into things. It's simply common courtesy to at least ask them before making use of what they spent so much time on. It's also their prerogative to refuse permission.

But credit must be given. Just my $0.02 BTW nice pack. Cap.
theavonlady 2 Posted January 13, 2005 I don't understand. This addon uses other people's work. Is that with their approval or not?
