I read the included readme and used the recommanded settings.

Unfortunately my current computer is crap by today's standards (read well below 2Ghz)

Missions like yours are a strong incentive to make me upgrade.

I understand that some of the forum users were rebuked by the

OFPMDB site being in German. All the more since the translated

version does not seem to work (at least it did not for me on several attempts)

So for those interested, here is a quick guide on how to register on ofpmdb and

download ofpchaos's great mission. Operation black mamba is really a work of art,

so I advise you to take the time to download it.

1- navigate to http://www.ofpmdb.de.vu/

2- Scroll down some and click on "Registrieren" on the bottom left, in the Community box

3- Scroll down the general conditions page and click the "Akzeptiert" button

4- Choose a user name (Benutzername) and type your e-mail address (E-Mail Adresse)

 Click "Senden"

5- You will receive a confirmation e-mail giving you a direct link to the DL site

6- Clik the link and sign in

7- Click "Missionsdatenbank" on the start page (bottom left again, just over Community)

8- Operation Black Mamba is the first mission in the list, click download and you're done.

Easy and straightforward.

Nice mission! I have tried it finnaly yesterday b4 i got to bed a bit hard when the enemy a.i's aimed very well

lagged very much but after i turned down graphics from 1024 x 768 x 32 down to 1024 x 768 x 16 and turned down viewdistance a bit and other options it started to work ok.

The only down side is the old old bas deltas

i would prefer the laser deltas but im thinking about making my own personal little remix version with laser deltas instead

Please explain to me the logic behind forcing hundreds of people to register on your site to download a mission? I would be happy to host it on OFP.Info for everyone and I am sure forcing people to register is cutting into the # of people who will play your mission. Of course it is your choice, but I think you are losing a lot of players over something this insignificant.

Well, sorry but i am not more active member of ofpmdb. But you don´t need register for only one mission download - there are over 150 missions & campaigns in the Database. One reason for registering is technical nature. Other reason is because stupid people in the past began themselves to insult anonymous. For a detailed answer turns you please to the leaders of the site.

Most times you don´t set the viewdistance or terrain details (i mean not the settings for textures) down. The mission sets it self for best effective playing.

both reasons don´t explain why you not want the mission to be hosted elsewhere..

if i was you and i put 14 months of work into a mission then i´d make sure that as many people as possible get to play it and not just the small bunch who´re willing to register themselves on the 435345rd page on the web just for one single mission

Well, you can post the mission on all sites of the world. But the DL must going from ofpmdb. You may not do directly link it. And look around. Mapfact handle already since the beginning just as with their missions if it around the host goes. And there nobody has problems with it.

Acecombat, maybe you have problems with other addons. I think the work with modfolder its good solution for your problem. I hope Sudden Death or other german-english speaking user can help you here. My english is unfortunately too bad for explained support here. Sorry.

Well, for registration problem see my first post for this theme. I am not responsible for the organization of the site. Ofpmdb team is looking for PHP artists since long time they want help for reorganize and improvement of the design. Are you interested ?

Nice mission!

Some lag in the intro despite a fairly good pc but normal with all the objects on the map. No lag at all in the mission. Good job.

I didn't beat it yet but this the kind of mission that you want to try again and again... Very addictive.

This is mistake made by ATWAR News Team. Please don´t put it in the campaign folder. Its a single player mission so put it in missions folder and it works

Hi chaos,

first of all, great work!

You did a outstanding job with that intro. The way you describe the development of the conflict could be right from the history books of some african states. The cutscenes are great, maybe u should have used a place wich not so much space to fill for the stonethrowers, could have been a little more crowded (im sure you tried lol). The voice of the news woman is great, i usually use her for other things, but everyone like he wants to.

The silencer script is a great and helpfull thing. What i dont like that much is the group radio script. Is it my comp or is there a delay of a few seconds with the commands? Im old and if i dont get a response i use to forget that i command something. So i switched to good old radio voice and spreaded my commands. No response, then after 4-5 seconds my fellow teammates had mercy and whispered a "on my way". A other thing is that i got nicely hit in my left foot (like in real life, i always get hurt at left part of body). so the damage effect started, i couldnt hear that much, except of my (like always) calm heartbeat. I ordered my wildly shooting medic to me. After a short delay he came, still wildly shooting, and healed me. But i still had no real sound and my heartbeat was only thing hearable. How long does it take to get back to normal?

I just downladed your mission and this are just my first few thougts, i need to get a shower and a breakfast and then i get this dubios oilfarting minister to disneyland. Once again, thx for your work and this nice mission.

btw: You should try to get mission-database to make one of their "schnupperwochen", i could remember they made it once and it wasnt needed to be logged in that time. Think alot of ppl would appreciate that.

You can download all contents without registration!

Great mission, and full of pleasant and unplesant surprises.

It would be perfect if I can use the LSR spec ops on it. If anyone gives me a help on that I realy appreciated.

The mission wont run if you only change the ranger units to LSR´s.

You must also change a lot of scripts f.e. SATCOM and silencer-scripts. This wont be easy.

Also the LSR units have more polygons than the BAS one, so on actual PC´s you will have maybe 5 - 10 fps during the hole mission like in the first scene of the intro.

I had kill all the enemys in the area.

You have to went to him. Normaly, then he speaks some words and come with you.

Was there a hint message?

If he dont walk, its maybe an ofp-bug! Thousand times in beta-testing, he come with me!

So fare an okay mission I am sory that i havn't completed it yet I got prity fare with a complete team not that hard realy but my team mates had spend 3 AT4's on nothing I was low on SD ammo which is completly nesseary, and I had realised that my weapon choice pryer to the mission had not been optimal.

A questions how meany AA guns are there I have shearched most of the arear and only found 3 which I destroyed with handgranades but I still said I had to destroy the AA sits.

Complaints and sugetions:

There are no SD sniper rifles: SR25SD

I automaticly start with a 7.62 machingun and there is nothing I can do about it realy anoing when you try to be silent.

Alot of strange guns I would never use even a M16A1 which has no ammo and when there is no SR25 its extra strange

Not enough M4's. I can't equip my hole squad with the same sighting system.

Pistols too: the only pistol i can give to every soldier is a Berreta I would like to have Glock SD all over or eny other SD pistol.

Very bad plan from what i have read of military field manuals the optimal is 4-5 ways out of an arear if not even more and here there is only one which is to call a helicopter into an heavily gaurded AA arear would be much more logic to go back in the boat you come in and it should not sail away. actualy I would be smarter if you grup was saling the boat your self then you would land, attack and extract would also allow a great deal more freedom so you could bypass the enemy and get the people tou wanted and get out not having to spend all your ammo clearing an AA instalation.

And it would be nice with a fire dispersion script implented atleast for the gurilas.
