Really great, i had lot of fun driving the train in the tutorial mission.

A small bug was discovered when trying to enter the stakes waggon. This is now fixed.

Just reload AEF_Train

plz try to use This Server to Download.

There is no Trafficlimit and Max Speed from 10MBit available

otherwise use:

This one here

Just replace the Original AEF_Train.pbo.

I'm still struggling to get the AI to use it properly sad_o.gif

I put a train on the tracks, and set a few "move" waypoints along the track, culminating with a "cycle" waypoint back to where the train started.

Then, when in-game, the train reverses to attach the waggons (even though they were so close that they were all attached), it drives forward for a few metres, then reverses again. Drives forward a few metres, reverses again, etc. etc. and its stuck like this in a loop.

How do I get it to drive normally crazy_o.gif

I am struggling to load things onto the stake wagon. I put in the correct code, but nothing happens!

When driving the engine trees and objects are occluded by the left front window.

Not a big bug but a little anoying.

And what do i have to do to make AI drive the train properly ?

I've set one Engine on the tracks a few hundret meters away from where the tracks cross a road and gave it one waypoint.

First it started to move in the right direction and gained speed, then it suddenly slowed down a bit, then it acelerated again, but when it came to the rail crossing it just stopped immediately and started to shake like it was stuck there.

I was using V1.11

it´s been a while since the ofp community has seen such an important release (klinks pt boat´s in mind),

awesome work on the train and the island aswell..thx to the whole aef team !

the island has a really nice atmosphere, especially at night   smile_o.gif

it was also surprising to see how uncomplicated it is to set up a little mission with the trains, if every product was that userfriendly the world would be much better imo  tounge_o.gif

Wow, this is amazing, and I have no idea how you folks at AEF pulled it off (never really could figure out how trains would be possible in OFP) but you did a fabulous job!!

Urban mission at night are so neglected but look so amazing in OFP. We need more!

Seem's like another little bug:

All your waggons and also the wheels of your engine are based on the car class and also inherit the engine/enviroment/gear sounds from this class. Makes the train sound really wierd if you ask me.

I'm using my own soundmodification (which i'm planning to release in the near future) so i guess it's not a problem for people using the standard Config as the enviroment sounds for cars where originaly very quiet (almost not noticeable).

I've added the enviroment soundfile that came with the addon and it sounds much better now.

Also you should correct the CfgSounds, doesn't sound very realistic when they all got the same volume. For example the TrainHorn has got the same volumelevel like the open/close door sounds.

Except these few bugs that can be fixed very fast easy a great addon.   smile_o.gif

Ahhh, finally trains!

Looked at readme so far, and seems great, hope it's okay in MP.

I'll be poking around with these for sure, trains are kick butt!

Yes, Phoenix Island is in work even longer then the train and it well be released soon.(well, you know OUR soon^^)

I've updated my mirrior, too, now the new version is on my one as well.

To those with AI problems:

You have to place many waypoints, that's the problem. Because the engine can't move left or right, only by script, the AI is a bit disorientated :P
