BoweryBaker 0 Posted October 1, 2004 What's the programs application in flashpoint? A type of editor, or an in game console?
raedor 8 Posted October 1, 2004 it's an ingame console. you can dynamically add waypoints and so on. or just check if an AI group does what they have to do.

Norris 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Awesome tool! It's complex but i'm sure it will really speed up the mission making once we get the hang of it.

MEDICUS 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Just tested it and finished the first half of the tutorial (XCam-ConsoleV1.0[tutorial].Noe). This tool is excellent! The tutorial is a very good "step-by-step"-explanation and all in all it's the most helpful thing i ever got into my fingers! No bugs or anything like that found till now. gunterlund 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Should this function as an "editor" for mission making or is it suppose to be integrated into missions. Does it add much overhead to the mission thus slowing the system down. Thanks for the info.
raedor 8 Posted October 1, 2004 it is only for mission makers. but you can implement it in your mission anyway... but that's not a good idea, because playing the mission would be really boring
mcpxxl 2 Posted October 1, 2004 I only can say WOW The real potential is comming while using it when mission editing. I have only a short look, but can say right as MEDICUS ... Verry good step by step TUT

Planck 1 Posted October 2, 2004 This is a very very handy addition for mission editing and debugging. I like this very much. However, due to my difficulty in reading the text, I must admit I have already altered some of the dialog colours to make it easier for me to read. My eyesight isn't what it used to be you know. Once again, congratulations on a very well thought out addition to the game. It must have taken a good long time to polish this to the present level. 343rdBadger 0 Posted October 2, 2004 My question is this...could it be said that the real potential for this is to create a dynamic battlefield where a "game master" would supply the OPFOR in real time?...in other words can this be used in MP...and used by both sides?
raedor 8 Posted October 2, 2004 we did not test it in mp because we only made it for mission makers, as stated many times before. but you can modify and rerelease it if you give silola/mapfact credits.
343rdBadger 0 Posted October 2, 2004 the reason I ask this is...the way I see it...it would allow for much better game play in both unpredictability AND frame rate cause the units aren't actually on the map. They are placed there in real time or set in ambush once a mission objective is set.and since the only units on the map are the main objective themselves...it frees up resourses.basically unlimited foe...and the ability to customize the enemy on the fly....very cool if its possible.Possibilites are endless IMO.
