marine26thmeu 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Laser, is there any chance in the future you could reskin your 1st SFOD-D units to have the exact same 3DES BDUs as your 75th Regiment Rangers? Comparing the two your latest redition of the 3DES camo pattern seems the most realistic. Thanks
BoweryBaker 0 Posted October 6, 2004 I think he probably will because i saw a picture of his updated deltas once and they had the bdu's hanging down, and they were all fixed up and everything. i can't remember where though. It'd be really nice.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Awesome Rangers! Very nice job! ...just those gold guns are kind of well....
@cero 0 Posted October 6, 2004 I should remind every body about the Nomex deltas, they still work with this update. They go very well with the rest of the addon. @CERO. Edit: Nomex Deltas Topic.
marine26thmeu 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Ok, yea because for when I compared the Deltas to the Rangers, it was only the desert camo that stood out as being different between the two. The woodland camo scheme for the Rangers matches that of the Deltas. But they're great units regardless of the color difference. I was just admiring the detail and sharpness of the Troy Rock M14 SOPMOD, for an OFP weapon it stands on the level of detail of that in simulators like Ghost Recon. Awesome work. Awesome work. come on, GR is not that good in detail. One of the biggest glitch about GR was the lack of juice in grapics. M14 is still good, Laser
marine26thmeu 0 Posted October 7, 2004 Looking at the older weapons of OFP to GR I'd say they were more advanced. OFP now is caught up if not surpassed GR. The unit models are now showing their age for OFP. But with recent addons such as Laser's Rangers and Deltas, ADFs AU SAS, and others I think OFP is obviously better than GR. Laser 0 Posted October 7, 2004 OK, people, thanks for the confidence. Your input and opinions are much appreciated. The Delta update would still take some work. Plus, i've been experimenting with new body parts - arms, legs, and groin area - and in fact ended up pretty happy with the results (and also carried away quite a good bit... A clue - look for new RHS screenies soon, if they choose to post them). And also - i'll remove the nasty "shiny faces" effect, since i know for sure what causes it and how to fix it. The wristwatch thing... To tell honestly, i'm not sure what can be done to achieve this. I wouldn't go about this "engine limitation" thingy, but still... is there a working watch in any of the vehicles in OFP? There are some working gauges, but i don't know about the watch. Maybe some scripting wizards (like DKM, for example) would know the answer to this? Oh, and yes, the BDUs for the Deltas will be replaced with the Rangers-issued ones. I think i'll make some Deltas BDUs untucked, and some not, to give some variety. And again, the missions stuff. There was quite a lot of people in my PM box (sorry if someone didn't get the answer... been pretty busy with all kinds of stuff lately), so don't hesitate and post your missions here. If there'll be a lot of missions, we can consider making one big tasty missions pack.
theavonlady 2 Posted October 7, 2004 Laser, would you consider incorporating MAAM into your weapons addons?
BoweryBaker 0 Posted October 7, 2004 Delta BDU's untucked, now we're f*cking talking, HAHA NOW WE'RE TALKING!! I feel like Laser just saved the day.
Heatseeker 0 Posted October 8, 2004 but still... is there a working watch in any of the vehicles in OFP? There are some working gauges, but i don't know about the watch. Maybe some scripting wizards (like DKM, for example) would know the answer to this? There is a working watch in the BIS Mi-17 and Hind just to answer your question , dont know if this would be worth the trouble and work has we can already see time by pressing "T" ingame . Totmacher 0 Posted October 8, 2004 I think a watch on a soldier is possible and if so than it is totaly simple to create a watch.
sv5000 127 Posted October 8, 2004 "Plus, i've been experimenting with new body parts - arms, legs, and groin area - and in fact ended up pretty happy with the results" HAHAHA, could read this a number of ways Laser Keep up the top work...You ROCK!!
FerretFangs 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Yeah, he's super intense about that groinage. But, I think his intentions are good. Not that I've spent that much time looking at the standard BIS model's crotches, but maybe Laser has seen room for improvement? If so, then good for him. I want my soldier's groins in top condition. Laser 0 Posted October 14, 2004 Hi there, people... well, i'm in for some sad news. Simply put, my HDD just went bang a couple of days back. Luckily, i've managed to salvage almost all newer stuff i had there, but this annoying circumstance would set back my work somewhat.
FerretFangs 0 Posted October 14, 2004 That indeed is bad news. I hope you can recover quickly, and without too much trouble, tovarich.

Laser 0 Posted October 14, 2004 Did youlost the things that you were making for RHS, if you did, then F***! Â They looked awesome (can you show any pics? what a cliche question)... I can assure you that the my latest work for RHS survived (very lucky for me, 'cause i've never had a chance yet to back it up). The most losses occured on my system disk volume; thus i've lost my ICQ data and stuff like that.... and some useful stuff i still kept in "My Downloads" folder.
