I still see white boxes too, Using Internet Explorer 6.0 Probably due to MSIE's incorrect way of handling PNGs. Firefox doesn't show white boxes. der bastler 0 Posted September 13, 2004 White box: fault of IE not properly handling PNGs. I'd like to keep the PNGs because GIF only uses a 256 colour palette with one colour reserved for transparency (yes or no). PNGs can use a whole alpha channel, i.e PNGs can create proper half-shadows... Anyway, I'm collecting new pin locations and will try to update the maps in the evening hours. In the worst case you have to wait one day to appear "pinned". Apropos, I'm working on that database thingy mentioned earlier. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think wikipedia considers the area were I live is Greater Upper Marlboro. You see there is a town of Upper Marlboro (which is 5-9 miles away and very small) and their is "Upper Marlboro"..confused?
