Btw, cool town name. Must be fun to fill out forms -- I'd use a stamp...

I'm slowly working my way through the published maps converting them to a Google Earth kmz. Updates as I have scraps of time.

-edit-

The streets data is not quite precise enough, BIS's secret HQ is still somewhat safe. Except from the German Airsofters sneaking around the woods to the west.

I will redesign my page between the years:

* new layout, colours & theme

* based on XML+XSLT, konverted to html for our IE users

* XHTML strict with pure CSS-Layout

* no layout table (wtf, did I do that back then?)

Ok, using the original pin link code samples I created an XML database of all maniacs. Now the pages for each continent look like this:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE bastlerpage SYSTEM "def/website.dtd">

<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="def/website_map.xsl" ?>

<bastler-site>

<kontinent datei="europe" breite="1166" />

</bastler-site>

An XSLT script collects all pins of given continent, places them according to their coordinates and creates XHTML code. Mozilla can do this on the fly, for our special IE friends I have to run a small script which converts XML+XSLT to XHTML (using xsltproc, included in a GNOME lib) and which renames the files and internal links to .html (using sed).

Ok, new version is up and running. I can check the output of buggy IE on tuesday (at work).

This is the end of a day full of extreme XML writing. Cheers!
