FischKopp HMMWV

Very nice work......Well I tested them on a dedicated server....and the tow and the avenger fire multiple missiles when they launch.......is this something that can be fixed?? biggrin_o.gif

there were 3 of us testing and 3 missles came out at once.

That's probably a bug with MCAR caused by a small amount of lag/desync, which can result in weird firing stuffs when online. I've seen AI tanks come up and rapid fire three or four shots off in one second, when it really only fired one.

I think this should be double checked to see if it's a lag bug or an MCAR bug. Could be a missile being created for each player...

Kinda liked it better when they were stock ofp detail level with nice variants...

Further to SCFan42's query: Did you actually see three lots of impacts, or did there just appear to be three missiles fired? Was there any other erratic behaviour? How many clients were there?

If there are multiplayer bugs, we'll try to get those cleared up as soon as possible. We will then issue a fix to Fischkopp, if it proves necessary.

I've seen that quite often from regular BIS tanks in multiplayer, but yes it is a lag problem.

No it isn't. It's a game engine bug. It can be reproduced as well in single player (quite fun btw).

My computer is currently kinda frizty, my Windoze 98 is dead, and I'm having kernel problems with my Linux, so unfortunately I haven't got to try FischKopp's HMMWVs yet. With the multi-fire tank bug, I just remember it happening playing on Zeus (server in Germany, I'm in Ohio, US, get some lag playing there, but still fun) at a few times, can't remember details, but for the possibility that it was an MCAR bug I was talking about zulu's experience where he had 3 players on.

Great hummers, cant wait for the desert ones.

Is there any chance u will make a armored version? Or tweak it so that if hit by an rpg it will be disabled or destroyed but still alow for some of the crew and pasengers to escape?

Great addon, this is the best hummer out there.

This is most likely an MCAR 'bug'...

'Bug' in quotes because we have never tested any multiplayer cababilities...

This is probably due to the fact how the missile is created so we need to fix that for MP use...

Now the creation process creates missiles on every client so there will be as many missiles as there are people playing... tounge_o.gif

But, some steps to prevent this are already taken...

This is actually good news if that is the only problem in MP as this is quite easy to fix (afaik...)...

I LOVE this pack smile_o.gif especially AVENGER and high-capacty ones. At last i do not need to get truck when i have 5 or 6 men squad.

And i have a question concerned Hummer-based AA systems.

I have heard about "HUMRAAM" - Hummer with 4 AMRAAM-based AA misiles, and once i saw printed pic of Hummer armed with one AMRAAM, one Sidewinder, pack of four Stingers and multibarelled .5 MG. I have searched fas, but they does not have info about it.

Does somebody know if those r only ideas or they will be in service? And of course if they will be used in USMC wink_o.gif

I must praise you really much.  Yours HMMWV's look really perfectly.  But your "cargo" version pleased me with the firm roof better.  Instead of the new with the tent roof and door.

Last nicely if you those again into your Pack build could.

I hope we a Desert and a Jungle version will shortly get.

My definition of lag is when the game can not run at it's ideal speed. Whether thats frame rate in single player or connection speed in muliptlpayer. Does this happen in SP when the framerate drops?

Lag is defined as when a high ping/low bandwidth cause packet loss and stuff like that. When units are jumpy, action commands don't work, etc. Mostly when units are jumpy.

But a lot of people confuse lag with framerate loss. Framerate loss happens when there's too many polys, IE having 14 of Sigma-6's tanks with 5000 viewdistance on Tonal. The two are very different.

And I asked this in the other thread, but nobody answered, so I'll ask again.

Does the barrel on M2 on the HMMWVs recoil back like the Combat! M113 M2 does? I don't have a chance to try it so I can't check it myself sad_o.gif

I work for CZM but I have a kind of side project. I don´t know if i can call it a Mod. A kind of Mini USMC Mod.
