Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted August 14, 2004 Strange nobody posted any pics of some of the 15.000 street dogs that were poisoned because of the great event, i saw on the TV news this morning, shocking, brutal and inhuman. I know because ive seen a animal die of poisoning when i was a kid, its not fast nor pretty . Rubbish. They were not culled, unfortunately. Instead, in its great wisdom, the government decided to get them all off the streets, train their aggressive nature out, give them a series of shots to make them disease free, and let them free again. I don't have much sympathy for dogs, much less stray ones. In Patras, for example, two kids had their faces torn off by stray dogs. I would much rather shoot 15,000 of these beasts than allow for one human casualty. You may think this is brutal, but you don't know what its like to have these pests running all around you all day. To prevent the return of them, new dogs should have a chip with the dog owners' details implanted, so the owners can then be traced down and punished accordingly for neglecting their animal. Err, just because of 1 incident condemming 15000 of the species is a little silly isn't it? Dogs are created by us, so I think we have some responsibility here. No animal volunteered to be bread to be a human's pet. More on the sports: screw it, Canadian TV is showing the Canadian athletes already, while ignoring the rest as best as possible. Err, just because of 1 incident condemming 15000 of the species is a little silly isn't it? Â Dogs are created by us, so I think we have some responsibility here. Â No animal volunteered to be bread to be a human's pet. Â I know, but the problem still requires solving. I also offered a solution to prevent from this problem showing again, once it has been solved. Mind you, the decision of the government is bound to keep people like you happy, and people like me annoyed at the waste of time and money. EDIT: By the way, its not just one incident. The Frenchman 0 Posted August 15, 2004 So Ex-RoNiN, how much do you think your taxes will go up this year?
DracoPaladore 0 Posted August 15, 2004 More on the sports: Â screw it, Canadian TV is showing the Canadian athletes already, while ignoring the rest as best as possible. Â You'd think they'd know to give the best overall coverage as we are a mix of all people, but no... Well, Jeeze, you might think for being part of Canadian television they would focus on Canadian athletes I can barely remember Canadian athletes, don't screw me up anymore by showing Germans, Albanians, Russians, Americans, and 198 other countries
Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted August 15, 2004 So Ex-RoNiN, how much do you think your taxes will go up this year? Â Well, the games will put a dent of about 2-6% in our GDP. The EU will give us a bit more money than usual this year for this reason (I hope), so the taxes may only rise by about 5% That's one of the very few reasons that make me glad to not live in Greece
