MATRA 0 Posted April 28, 2005 Im using the 71-89, and I had that FPS drop with all the drv I tested in my former 6800 Ultra AGP and now in the 6800Gt PCI-E, so it can be a problem from the 6xxx series. meio, é bom ver tugas por aqui.

meio_maluco 1 Posted April 28, 2005 fps alot better, no menu lag, game its like if there wasnt no reflections turned on. In tonal with reflections on i get like 25 depends on the place, but the fps are not constant for example if i look to left and right, fps either drops or gains, not constant at all and now im facing computer restarts. The temperature i saw once was 74ÅŸ i started testing in tonal the maximum i got was 64ÅŸ, still they say is too much :S

.pablo. 0 Posted May 15, 2005 i just discovered that dxdll is not compatible with teamspeak overlay; if you want teamspeak overlay to work (to see who is talking on teamspeak), you will need to move your d3d8.dll file out of the OFP directory (i just put it in my dxdll folder). this makes me wonder: is there any way dxdll could be enabled like other mods, through adding it to the -mod= list in an executable? DBR_ONIX 0 Posted May 15, 2005 Not really, no.. The reason DXDLL screws up TS-O is that they both try and use the DirectX layer system thing, but only one can work. I'm surprised FRAPs counter and DXDLL works at same time DXDLL could maybe be made an external program, that you can alt-tab out, but it's not very usefull in most cases, so I doubt it'll be made - Ben
456820 0 Posted May 19, 2005 okay well i saw those pics and it looks great but i dont understand the installation process ive extracted the thing apart from the d3d8.dll because i saw the note in the readme Quote[/b] ]Note! Do NOT copy the d3d8.dll into your windows systemdirectory, doing so will break Direct3D from your system! i didnt wont that to happen so i didnt risk it but then i ran the configurator.exe and clicked save after i edited the things to what i want but now what do i do does that mean i just play the game and it should be right or what. exigent 0 Posted May 23, 2005 Whenever i open up my game, before it even starts it gives me a message saying: "Postprocessing CreateTexture failed!" I'm using a nvidia tnt2, can someone please help me?
honchoblack 2 Posted May 23, 2005 did you read the first post? Quote[/b] ]feersum.endjinn: Please note that Geforce4MX and most Geforce 4 Go cards are technically GeForce2 cards and do not support pixel shaders, so postprocessing effects will not work on these cards. Reflection might work, but it's not guaranteed. this wont work with your card
eestikas88 0 Posted May 24, 2005 ummmm.............. my reflections are gone everything else works but the reflections are gone..... what to do Keg?
Homefry 0 Posted May 24, 2005 ummmm..............my reflections are gone everything else works but the reflections are gone..... what to do Keg? Are they set up correctly in the configurator? If you turn them on ingame... do they show?
MrZig 0 Posted May 24, 2005 Make sure your land texture setting or someting like that is greater or equal to 512x512 or whatever your DXDLL water setting is.
eestikas88 0 Posted May 25, 2005 thank you very much MrZig,that worked,i think that my little brother had messed up the settings
MoodyB 0 Posted June 6, 2005 The reflections fps drop i fixed it by using 66.xx drivrers but the temperature is fricking me, 64ÅŸ is way to much i get in nogova with 600 objects reflected 20fps or that.too much temp, 64c isn't high at all. 68xx series gpu's are supposed to be able to handle temps much closer to 100c, so you've nothing to worry about. My 6800GT idles around 60c ( around 75c when under full load ). IIRC there's a bug with the temp display in certain recent Forceware drivers ( check the forums at www.guru3d.com for more info )
shadow 6 Posted June 7, 2005 The card-temp when running 66.xx drivers are'nt any higher than when running 72.xx drivers. It's just the driver reporting ~20% higher temp. It's a driver-bug. Just ignore it I noticed Xfire can't use DXDLL's d3d8.dll. In fact, I had to rename d3d8.dll in order for Xfire's in-game chat to work, but then DXDLL does'nt work (ofcourse). Can the file and all associations in the program be renamed to something else or do the file have to be named d3d8.dll? Any plans on getting the water-reflection to work with 7x.xx drivers without dropping to 2 fps?

meio_maluco 1 Posted June 10, 2005 the only ones that i noticed being faster than overal are 76.44 though they do not suport reflections. Also i tried 65.xx their not that good as 66.xx Anyways im using a lower card now ATI x300 , [sent my 6600GT pci-e to the store for tests and they say its ok, can figure out why i have bluescreens and low performance, maybe my patriot ram 1gb s faulty (i runned mem test and no erros reported)] Seems to me ati cars are best for ofp, its very stable and good fps, im having same fps with this low-end card that with a medium-high end card (6600GT) But when i put higher distances or postprocessing its lags alot more, (not that strong). Also another bug i found or whatever it is Postprocessing at night either in 6600GT or x300 the cursors takes time to fade out, also plane instruments lights etc. It looks like its very lagged with posprocessing at night. During the day it doesnt make 1 fps diference in the 6600GT
shadow 6 Posted June 11, 2005 I had a GF4Ti4600 before and have a GF6800gt now and have never experienced the issues you're mentioning here, meio. Sounds like driver-issues to me.
