kegetys 2 Posted July 12, 2004 Here is the first version of DXDLL, with the following features: - Reflective water - Postprocessing effects (hard light, desaturation, glare) - Forcing of trilinear filtering - Screenshot saving, also with "No UI" feature - "Black & White" night pixelshader effect override - Mipmap LODbias adjustments, including an "UI Sharpen" option - FPS meter & other stats Download from here (516KB). Remember to read the readme! So far it seems to work fine on newer video cards, Geforce 3 cards seem to have problems with the water reflections however. Feedback on how it works on different card/driver combinations is welcomed to this thread. Some screenshots: Without postprocessing: full version With postprocessing: full version Reflective water (and postprocessing): full version Special NV goggles postprocessing effect: full version feersum.endjinn: Please note that Geforce4MX and most Geforce 4 Go cards are technically GeForce2 cards and do not support pixel shaders, so postprocessing effects will not work on these cards. Reflection might work, but it's not guaranteed.

Gordy 0 Posted July 12, 2004 uhhhh, resolution. Your card doesn't support to much i'm affraid. Or am I wrong?
feersum.endjinn 6 Posted July 12, 2004 resolution: Â 1600x1200x32, w-bufferRunning on a Dell notebook with a 64MB Geforce Go 440. I'm not too sure what hardware capabilities Geforce Go series do have (traditionally they're less capable than their desktop cousins) but I'd try reducing resolution, 1600x1200 takes already quite a bite from video RAM and reflection/postprocessing effects might cause it to run out of memory. kegetys 2 Posted July 12, 2004 For crashing, some hints on what might possibly be wrong can be found by enabling debug output, which can be captured with Debugview for example.

MrZig 0 Posted July 12, 2004 I might be blind or something, but I can't see the reflective water! When I turn it off via the command, my FPS goes up, but the water doesn't change. I have a 9500 Pro video card, hmm..
Milkman 1 Posted July 12, 2004 I will try it with my 128mb Geforce4 4200. *Prays I get more than 8 fps* Thanks for the hard work Kegetys.

Reflection might work, but it's not guaranteed. Yeah I can enable all the reflections on the Geforce 256, but it doesn't do much, all pixel shading options crash the game as they are not supported by the card. As expected, anyway great job.
