Then we can screw over OPEC Or use Methanol or Ethanol. Otto engines can run with alcohol without problems. You just have to ensure your plastic fuel lines aren't corroded by your new fuel. During the day plants are consuming water, CO2 and sunshine and are producing carbohydrates and O2 (photosynthesis). Now take these carbohydrates and some bacteria and you'll get alcohol (well, you have to convert them to glucose first, but overall that's the way to go). Hmm, should I put a huge aquarium on my roof?
ozanzac 0 Posted July 1, 2004 Where I am, Adelaide, South Australia. Premium Unleaded (95-98 RON) goes for about $1.04/l- $1.10/l. Unleaded (91 RON) goes for about $0.92/litre on thursdays (min) to $1.04/l on Saturdays (max). Diesel always hovers at $1.00/l give or take a few cents. And LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) hovers at $0.38 cents per litre. Â I use LPG most of the time, and keep a quater of a tank of Premium Unleaded for when I'm not. Edit: Should also mention, using shopper dockets reduces the price 4 cents per litre for all fuels!
