Is that just in your area? In Oklahoma, I have seen it for a 1.68, but it should be cheaper this week.

Over 4 Euro per gallon in Germany (diesel's a bit cheaper), too. Yeah that's more than 5 US$ at the current exchange rates...

Edit: damn still calculating in Marks... ;)

In Israel, about US$4.5 per gallon for unleaded, and that's after the prices went down overnight 2-3%.

Diesel is a 1/2 or 2/3's cheaper, depending on whether you pay by cash or card.

What part of OK? Back in fall of '98 during part of when I was stationed at Ft. Sill, Gas 4 Less sold Regular for about $0.86/gal. Man I miss that!

Germany

diesel fuel

4.126 $/usgal (0.897 EUR/l)

normal petrol (91 octane)

5.128 $/usgal (1.115 EUR/l)

super petrol (>95 octane)

5.202 $/usgal (1.131 EUR/l)

super plus petrol (>98 octane)

5.574 $/usgal (1.212 EUR/l)

1 usgal = 3.7854 l

Spiegel.de EUR-to-USD converter: 1 EUR = 1.215 USD

Benzinpreis.de price prediction (I'm too lazy to leave the house wink_o.gif)

My car's fuel consumption (normal petrol): 7-8l/100km or 33.6-29.4mpg.

We all need to get BioDiesel powered cars... a guy converted his Hummer (5 MPG) to a BioDiesel engine (hydrogen too) and now it gets 18 MPG. Then we can screw over OPEC biggrin_o.gif

In Melbourne, Australia, price is pretty high at the moment: roughly $1.00 AUD per litre...I'll try to convert that into $USD per gallon and get back to you.  wink_o.gif

Or use Methanol or Ethanol. Otto engines can run with alcohol without problems.

You just have to ensure your plastic fuel lines aren't corroded by your new fuel. biggrin_o.gif

During the day plants are consuming water, CO2 and sunshine and are producing carbohydrates and O2 (photosynthesis).

Now take these carbohydrates and some bacteria and you'll get alcohol (well, you have to convert them to glucose first, but overall that's the way to go).

Hmm, should I put a huge aquarium on my roof? wink_o.gif

Where I am, Adelaide, South Australia.

Premium Unleaded (95-98 RON) goes for about $1.04/l- $1.10/l.

Unleaded (91 RON) goes for about $0.92/litre on thursdays (min) to $1.04/l on Saturdays (max).

Diesel always hovers at $1.00/l give or take a few cents.

And LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) hovers at $0.38 cents per litre.  biggrin_o.gif

I use LPG most of the time, and keep a quater of a tank of Premium Unleaded for when I'm not.

Edit: Should also mention, using shopper dockets reduces the price 4 cents per litre for all fuels!

i´m seriously thinking about switching my engine to liquid propane gas.

it´s quite popular everywhere in europe, e.g. in poland, russia, nederlands, france etc.

costs half the price of normal gas and works as efficient as it.

could pay off well since i work for a lpg selling company biggrin_o.gif

It's all in liter (!!!)

Diesel = From about 1.0277$/0.8419€ to 1.3214$/1.0824€

95 octane = From about 1.1746$/0.9621€ to 1.4682$/1.2027€

98 octane = Couldn't find it (I'm also too lazy to get out biggrin_o.gif)

Depends of what company you use of course.
